Yes. I dont know if he is inactive now. But they signed him from the pratice squad like a week or so ago.

What is your gut feeling about 2010 GTripp? No BS or Kool Aid, I want your honest opinion. I can only see some major house cleaning ahead to be honest.
The last one, the protection was fine, it was just a bad throw.

But the protection was awful all day. A quarterback is supposed to be able to step up in the pocket and the three interior lineman just weren't doing their jobs.
sometimes the qb has to step into the pocket too, which has been an obvious campbell fault

out of the gamebuzz i wasn't able to pay attention to that though

I can't break down a game much as it goes on
2-2 is good, would have liked to be 3-1 right now but I will take it. I watched every play today with an unbiased eye, so here goes. JC had four turnovers today all on him, he forced to much today. The oline actually played well, JC took to long making his reads. Before you go off on me, I am telling you the oline gave him the time he needed to make plays.
You are right. The OL has been doing well all year. JC holds too long because he is too tentative. But with people bitching so much that he doesn't take risks downfield, expect his int's to increase (but hopefully also his over 40 yd passes.

You know I think I'd rather see the skins struggle this part of the season and get hard wins and close loses and then wake up at the end guys we were 7-2 last year and imploded

I'd really love to see them come here and beat oakland btw hahaha I wanna see a live Redskins win

No, seriously, what's your question? Where is this team going? What do I think will happen with coaches, quarterbacks, etc? I'm not sure what your asking.

If we're playing even an average to slightly below average team we would've lost.

D looked better, but my huge concerns are Campbell making mistakes he shouldn't be making, Portis, and the playcalls in the run game.

Right now you really wonder what the tipping point is in either direction.

We won poorly against two of the worst teams in the league.

I agree with you, but the schedule doesn't look good on the tail end of the season, but maybe we get in a groove.

If I said things like that the mods would be on my ass. But they just dont like me because I got kicked off the ES board last year for saying that Rock is expendable. Go figure. This year everyone on there is saying the same thing I ws saying when I got kicked off. Liek this board much better anyway. Far more intelligent convo. If you going to mod -- be fair. Thanks
what r u talking about?
JC was protected pretty well on all his intereceptions, especially the last one.He threw it into double coverage and the throw sucked
Campbell was manhandled in the pocket the first drive of the game. When he can set in the pocket and throw downfield, there aren't many QB's that are more accurate. I'd love to see Campbell playing behind the Raven's OL. Flacco is rarely hit, and he's not nearly as mobile as Campbell.

This is a way better board, not everything gets covered but you skim through a lot less to get good analysis.

A win is a win. I'm sure the Campbell haters will love his three INTs today, so have at it. I just hope the team gives me a W for my birthday next Sunday. We're 2-2 and that's much better than 1-3. I hope the team goes back and addresses a lot of issues that came up during this game.

Kudos to the defense though, giving up just 13 pts, and coming up with some big turnovers.

Re: Week 4: Redskins vs. Buccaneers Gameday Thread

The only thing that really seems obvious when you look at the ages of players on the roster is that the 2010 Redskins will be better than the 2009 Redskins.

But if the 2009 Redskins are 5-11, better could just be 8-8. There's a lot of games left and I want to simply avoid jumping to conclusions.

Where do you see it improving there?

Do you see our who knows if they'll be on the squad backup linemen improving next year? Young who knew if they were gonna make the roster or not secondary?

Still a lot of question marks
Kudos to the defense though, giving up just 13 pts, and coming up with some big turnovers.
Big K to the defense, and I thought Blache was fairly unpredictable and confused Johnson a bit. He definately had the right gameplan.

He's forcing the ball and it appears he's not going through his progressions properly or just not seeing the coverage.

it's better than losing the game we got to work on a lot things. The third int by JC i believe was suppose to duplicate the td pass to moss but it didn't happen. If we know anything about JC we know he doesn't throw into double coverage often i believe that was Zorn forcing a play. JC still played bad he needs to work on his mechanics and reads.

Still a lot of question marks
Well a lot depends on how we address the quarterback position. But the receivers will develop and 2010 Portis should be a lot like 2009 Portis. If the offensive line gels, this could be a pretty good offense, depending on who the quarterback is.

JC had time today, I watched him on every play, he can't stay there all day, he is not reading the D and gets lost after he drops off the first read and then scrambles to find the dump off. Why do we do this every week, he turned it over 4 times.

Naturally I meant that satirically but I agree with you. We will need many more things to happen to be any good. Starting with qb play

So do you rather have a loss? Jax just killed Tennessee; a team that was penciled in to be in the playoffs just got killed by a team that was left for dead. I think in today's NFL, very few are the teams that you can say they are going to blow someone out of the water. We're not one of those teams, so just deal with it.

I can see that, but it's still pretty conditional. Say we have a rookie QB though.. who knows? Like you said a lot rides on that.

The receivers should develop and I'm seeing signs of it, but who knows wit Clinton. We're finally giving our line a chance to develop though instead of trying to fill every fallen gap, which is what we need to do. Not a lot of the best lines started with the best evaluated linemen no doubt.

Re: Week 4: Redskins vs. Buccaneers Gameday Thread

I think the reason JC is forcing the ball so much is because he's feeling all that pressure that we the fans/coaching staff are putting on him and he wants to prove himself by taking risky/stupid decisions. He just needs to settle down and learn to take what the d gives him and not worry about the rest.

Also I just wanted to say watching the end of this Bears/Lions game I think it's sad that Chicago is blowing out Detroit 48-24 and Detroit is playing like shit again, and that last week was a prime example of just how far we are from being a good team. I don't want to just be satisfied with eking out wins against mediocre opponents, even though today was a small step in the right direction. We have a long way to go to even consider being competitive against the truly elite teams in the NFL.
