zorn on espn 980 "I gotta call the right play" etc "we seem to spark and then fizzle" "I have to figure this out"

I'll leave that to the new coach.

Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Gameday Thread

on QB change "had some things open he was missing"

silver lining "defense" "some special teams" "spark on offense but not good enough and that's on me, I'm the guy calling the plays, I can call a play that gets in the end zone but it's not happening"

"i'd like to say it's the scheme, let's go wildcat, but it's not that, the scheme's solid, part of it is what i'm calling, it's gotta be, it's gotta be, failure is what we're doing out there, only scoring 6 points our offense is better than that, it ticks me off"

probably will go back to JC for the Eagles game, not sure what he's gonna do, but prob JC

Id say TC, JC's little confidence that he had left is gone now IMO

You know it just doesn't matter who starts or what Zorn's gonna do at this point. These guys are about to pack it in.

what do you guys think? will this team win another game this year...I don't see it. In a weird way, I'm glad, Snyder has always fielded a pretty bad team that has had fluke decent seasons. I think 2-14 is just what is needed to at least give DS some pause before he makes decisions.

We might win the Raiders game? No way we end the season above .500 though.

i thought our D-Line looked great today. felt good seeing the team generate a pass rush without sending the DB's. Reminded me of the 80's. Also felt good to see Portis finally break off a long one...Too bad that's all we had going for us.

Was it me or Portis looked pretty bad before that long run? I think that long run is going to get the heat off of him for a while.

we will be at least 4-12. As long as we have defense, we will always be in games.

Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Gameday Thread

Man JC was bad today and he needed to get benched. He just has no pocket awareness what so ever. When he steps up in the pocket he never ever re sets his feet. On top of that he seems to check down the ball too quickly. Then we he gets a guy open downfield he misses him. Gannon pretty much broke him down..."He's late w/ the ball, his footwork is off and he locks on to one wr". I'm not sure if Collins can do any better but he can't do any worse.

Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Gameday Thread

DS needs to get his hands off the Redskins. He and his butt buddy can't spot NFL talent. Let alone field an entire team of nice talent. They never get guys who fit our system, just guys who had good years with other teams. There is no organization in our front office. Good to see an F for the entire franchise. This will be an entire team F this year. From the FO, to the guys that hand out the mail, to the equipment managers, the coaches, and the players. FAIL everyone.

All right...here is another question, are we the worst team in the league. We've gone up against the worst and come out 2-3 and the combined margin of victory was 5 points. Looking back, the Giants game was probably the best game we've had this year...

Maybe next week, maybe not, we're going to surprise a division rival this year, embarrass them, and perhaps make their path to the playoffs more difficult, even if we lose to everyone else.

Well St. Louis is still winless. Although I feel that we might as well be undefeated.

One positive is that we've found a pure beast in Orakpo. With decent coaching (note I'm not including his current coaching), he could become a premiere pass rusher in this league.

Yeah, there haven't been many free toppings all year. If they just gave away free toppings for every Redskins safety, things would change.

So what is the over/under on Zorns job?

Gone within 24 hours?
36 Hours? 48? Bye week?

Or does DS just endure this and pull the trigger in January?

None whatsoever...but I'd rather Snyder wait until the end of the season and do a proper coach search.

Well if you are Danny and you fire Zorn now and don't do anything big in the off season you will lose the fans. Plus all the heat is on him and how bad he is as an owner.

However say you let Zorn finish the season, saying that there was no better option or Zorn had too many roles to replace, etc and THEN fire him in the off season and bring in a new coach. Then you make some big free agent pick up. Why then you can tell the fans you made "changers" in the off season. Plus the fans and the media will believe you "won the off season. You know we will buy that shit story again.
