It faces forward on both sides of the helmet, it should match on the jersey. It looks like a mistake.

If I buy that jersey I'm having some East LA sweatshop knock out a reversed logo and I'm replacing it.

slightly different animal, but i don't think the steelers are ever going to add the logo to the other side of their helmets

i think our gold pants would go better w the solid burgundy socks we wear w white pants. something about the vertical stripes of the pants and the horizontal stripes of the socks, idk.

still beats the stupid white socks w 1 thick gold stripe and 1 thick burgundy stripe we used to wear w the burgundy pants.

trivia for you, monkeydad, how many teams have striped socks vs how many teams have solid socks?

I think the striped socks are an ode to the classic 'skins. Now that I have gotten used to the gold pants, I would like for them to have a bit more updated look with the current color scheme - updated stripes or something.

Well that would be two away games. They're going to honor the 10 new "80 Greatest Redskins" against the Panthers. And, has been told to me they're going to debut the throwbacks then

I've heard rumors and Carolina was one of them...makes sense since it's our "Homecoming" game and we're doing the tributes. Another rumor I've heard is our Monday Night Football game vs. the Giants on 12/03. It would be great to showcase them on the big stage.

Good intentions and cause, but we all know it's about marketing the sport to new prospective female fans and selling them gear as much as it is about charity and compassion. It's the NFL.

No, we only wore the gold 75ths ONCE against the Giants. We lost so badly that we scrapped them.

The 70th spear set was worn twice against the Giants and 49ers, which is the league limit for throwbacks, except for the [B]league's[/B] 75th anniversary in 1994...seemed like there were no rules then. We had road and home throwback versions, as did all teams because the league wanted everyone to match up in throwbacks. Most of those uniforms were hideous and inaccurate though.

This new version is so much better than the first attempt in '94.

i was also confused because i attended the redskins-saints game in 2003, and they were wearing the spears. have they worn the spears since 2003?

so twice a season is the hard limit on throwbacks?

It is now. Goodell is much stricter about uniforms than previous Commissioners.

Only if they're throwbacks...and that exception applies any time throwbacks are worn. Thanksgiving is just the popular time to do it, that's why I initially predicted we'd wear them on Turkey Day. I didn't even think about saving them for just home games (good move).
