Which characters does she play?
Vera Farmiga is going nuts on Bates haha.
Now that I googled it I might be wrong. She plays Bradley on Bates: I didn't catch her character's name on Hannibal last night but I don't think she'll be appearing again. |
I've just finished the first season of 'Rectify,' the new show from one of the Breaking Bad producers. Was hooked from the beginning, but be aware that the pacing/tone is much different than BB. Some of the dialogue really gets under your skin.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Vikings already done for this season? Like a 4 episode season...?
Great show Looking forward to the return of Longmire........ |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
i didn't think vikings was over yet. it's had 9 episodes so far.
the BBC does a lot of 3 and 6 episode seasons, which is nice compared to lost's 248 recap episodes once they ran out of ideas. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Vikings ended last week. It was picked up for a 2nd season.
|
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I've gotten through 5 episodes of Netflix's Hemlock Grove. It's pretty solid. Has werewolves, vampires and a frankenstein-like character in it. Reminds me of Twin Peaks with the weirdness.

Watched the Bible where Vikings aired after the Bible. As wished the Bible got a second season as it would really would be nice but oh well! |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I enjoy the show "Catching Catfish"--I mean "River Monsters"
|
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Obviously this isn't a new show but I wasn't sure if this was thread worthy....
Did anyone else catch The Office series finale last night? I've stuck with the show through the last two mostly-terrible seasons because I knew it was ending, and luckily last night totally made it all worth it IMO. I thought it was just a fantastic ending. |

Life is too short to watch bad TV.

I think a few storylines of the past few weeks worth of episodes were a bit rushed, but I really enjoyed how this finale seemed to bring everything together. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
IMO Six Feet Under had the best final episode of any series I have watched.
|
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
yeah, the last office was good. i'm glad it ended well.
i just went through justified. it's a good show. I think people who liked the shield would probably find it worthwhile. tried rectify (4 episodes) - can't stand it. it's incredibly slow and pointless. |

I finally gave up on Bates Motel. It just seemed so pointless and boring to me and I couldn't stand the kid playing Norman. His attempt at an American accent sounded like a bad stand-up comedian imitating a teenager/idiot. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
So I never really got into The Office, but some friends of mine who watched it basically had this to say:
"The finale was awesome, showed The Office at its full potential. But this same show has been pretty lousy the past couple of years. So with such a good finale it kind felt like it was clear they were mailing it in until the finale" Agree? |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
When Steve Carrell left it was over imo. Spader was a horrible replacement and Krisinski (jim) or ed helms could never carry that show.

It sort of feels directionless and they are never really able to figure out how to create a cohesive story arch. It just feels like a bunch of serial killers of the week. |

That's the only reason I don't watch that show. Odd reason, I am aware; however, I'm entirely prejudiced to that man... |

Anyone watching the new Arrested Development episodes yet?
|
Anyone watching the new Arrested Development episodes yet?
I've watched the first 2 episodes. Not that good, but I heard it's going to start picking up by episode 4. I think a lot of fans, including myself, have been too hyped up or excited for it that our expectations have been raised too high to the point where watching it will disappoint us. Have you started? |

Steve Carrell was the glue that held the show together. In hindsight I think they should have made Dwight the boss after he left. The last two seasons might have been better. Overall I thought the two seasons without Carrell was very hit or miss. Some episodes were great, some were crap. I don't think the writers gave up or mailed it in, it was just very tough to move on without Michael Scott. |

The show was essentially about him...or at least his experience in the world drove the show. It was too much to try and refocus the how when he left. Just couldn't be the same show. The finale was a triumph though. |

Hey the new Inside Amy Schumer is pretty good. Watching the re runs now. New episode tonight

Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I've gotten hooked on Sons of Anarchy lately. Season 1 was a bit slow but I stuck it out as I heard it really picks up in season 2 going forward. Almost done with season 2 now, great show.

I am on season 3 it is pretty good. I need to re-pick it up seeing not much on in the summer. |
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I just started watching old episodes of Arrested Development on Netflix. I am pleasantly surprised, when the series was originally on on Fox back in the day I didn't think it was anything special but now I find it pretty funny.

The great thing about that show is it gets better every time you watch it. In fact you almost have to watch every episode a couple times to get all the jokes. |

Season 5 is...challenging. Just overall but it also has the two hardest scenes to watch I have ever seen on TV by a mile. But it is really good. |
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Just started Jericho. A little cheesy/schmaltzy here and there but that's sorta expected coming from CBS. The story-line is really good though. Plus.. Major Dad!
|
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I was just cursing Netflix on-line man the lay out is so much better. When i get home I search on xbox, PS3 and roku all of those lay outs blow for finding stuff on Netflix.

I really wish I had re-watched season 3 (for about the 9th time) before diving into S4.
In any case, it seems to be getting funnier as it goes. |

I watch Netflix almost exclusively on my iPad simply because the app is so much better. On Apple TV or the Xbox it's just painful. |
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I literally just use my laptop to find stuff on Netflix and add it to my queue. I have Roku and using the Netflix channel sucks. Not sure why they make it so hard. Amazon Instant Video is a lot better. This time of year I watch almost exclusively streaming stuff.

I'm through about 6 episodes and there a TON of jokes that refer to future episodes, so they don't really make much sense at first. Honestly, I already need to rewatch them because I wasn't paying enough attention. |
