I think we're going to see a changing of the guard at tight end.

He needs to be our possession receiver.
Agreed. I don't understand how people can be so absent minded to just focus on one bad play. I can point out a number of starters who screwed up on this team today, yet no one says much about them. Doughty is a f*cking back up, and he plays like one. The guy made some good plays and some bad plays. So did a lot of back ups and starters on the team. Sheesh.
Just go ahead and change your avatar to Reed...your right, he plays like a back up and has no business playing 90% of the plays on defense. The guy is a huge liability in coverage and had a pretty untimely whiff on the Bradshaw TD run

Every back up is a liability when the starter goes down. I just hate dumb fans who act like this is the end of the world when our back up plays like a back up. You know who's a liability? Trent Williams. He's our starter, and he needs to play better since he's the starter. Come on, I thought people were smarter than that on this board. Ugh.

Chris Neild - 2 sacks & a Forced Fumble

Ryan Kerrigan - INT, Game-Winning TD

Awesome.... just awesome.

If this doesn't validate the importance of the draft, I don't know what does.

Also, some of the FA acquisitions under MS produced as well I think Bowen had a sack and so did Carriker. I'm hyped about our young players.

WTF?
He was the leading tackler in a game we won.

T Williams looked quite bad out there, a true liability. Wonder what we can do to help that situation. Too early to give up, but not encouraging that he's no better this year.

Would be an interesting idea to switch J.Brown and TW. I'd say give him a couple of more games.
Williams had the worst game at left tackle that I can remember seeing. He's been suspect for a while, but I think were really going to regret drafting him. I'm all for moving him to RT
I definitely understand what you are saying. But Jammal Brown is not as quick as he used to be so I'm not sure he's the answer on the left side, either. What we need is for Williams to show some pride and wake the frick up.

On the other hand, three cheers for a defense which scored more points in the second half than the Giants did!

Re: Giants-Redskins Gameday Thread

Let's wait and see about T. Williams. Yes, this was, by far, his worst game. He seems to struggle against speed rushers, and gets beat off double moves, but I'll give him a pass this game.

A quick and important note: All of our offensive TDs were red zone TDs.

I wish PFT would act less like TMZ and more like the National Football Post. I truly enjoy the articles from Matt Bowen and the folks from NFP.

Is Jason Pierre Paul that good or is Trent Williams an ENORMOUS BITCH?

What is wrong with our left tackle?

A little concerned with our O line. Williams seemed to let a few get through but hopefully they will work this out.

Got a long way to go and next week who knows we may be cussing Rex and demanding Beck plays. However, great first win, we took it to them second half.

Little bit of both as of today. But Paul is a stud....I think he was a Pro Bowler if I'm not mistaken, But basically took the job from Osi.

It was Reed Doughty's fault.

On a serious note, I think it is a little bit of both. It puzzles me b/c TW had a good couple of series against Suggs in the preseason (I know, it is preseason). But as someone pointed out earlier, he seems to have problems against small/speedy pass rushers.

Its hard to do that while you're collecting grass stains on your pants while getting pummeled by a 7th round draft choice from West Virginia.

The guy really is good(JPP), but a #4 pick LT should be squashing that though. He's getting abused out there, and it's not going to get any better. I imagine if he continues to struggle, we'll see a flop with the tackles.

Agreed, Brown isn't the answer at LT.

TW is in year 2, he had a rough game today but we need to stick with him.

I feel like TW's issue is with finesse DEs. Power DEs for some reason he can handle without any issues, but every time he goes up against a speed or move guy he gets owned.

Romo rode the pine for his first three years without really seeing the field.
