Unless they’re offering Bruce the job of tackle dummy, even a demotion is no-go for me.

If the Redskins ever win the Super Bowl again I might not survive until that Monday. |

Re: Who will be the next coach of the Redskins and does it even freakin matter?
As I've said before:
Team President - Eric Schaffer General Manager - Kyle Smith
I agree! Kyle Smith has had two amazing drafts in the last two seasons AND has even made some good UDFA pickups. Obviously it will take years to see if guys like Haskins, Sweat or Steve Sims & Harmon or Holcomb can break out into the excellent to elite ranks. But they all are moving up and could really be stars. I see McLaurin as being the superstar for this team. Just think what he could do with an improved Haskins, play calling, a very good TE, better OL and BETTER COACHING! I’m a big believer in Kyle Smith. Many think that Bruce Allen is the tar baby that the team can not get rid off. I disagree, Snyder needs to make some big splashes this off-season and the easiest and biggest change is just to get rid of that loser. I see no relationship between Alex Smith and Bruce Allen. Alex is a classy guy who is well thought of. I believe he will be the friend and advisor that Snyder craves next year. Alex Smith has a relationship with the Kansas City OC. But he will NOT come here while BA works as the GM. Nor will anyone else of worth. That is the reason, along with the fan hatred, is why BA will be fired. Re: Who will be the next coach of the Redskins and does it even freakin matter?
Just listened to Sheehan's podcast. Thom cited someone connected to Urban Meyer saying that he was interested in an NFL job... but not as a coach. If he joins the league, he'd want to do so in a front-office role.
Separately, Les Carpenter reported yesterday that Snyder had been consulting with Meyer on his coaching search... which is kind of what a Team President/GM would do. Is it possible that Meyer may end up replacing Bruce, assuming that he has not already come to a verbal agreement with Snyder to assume the role after the season ends and Bruce "retires"? |
