Inconclusive, sir. The argument could be made that the left roll is a few rolls ahead. I'm and 'over', 'unders' should be inhumed with all possible prejudice. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
The one on the right is probably the original roll.
Over is just uncivilized. Those that go over probably also wipe back to front. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
OMFG! I'm surrounded by tissue abusers!
WTF is wrong with the world...... I'm just glad there's no issue with tissue when one uses baby wipes in place of the old fashioned roll. Yeah, yeah, I really do. TMI? |

I was expecting you. :D

I did the math, and if i live 70 years, the extra 3 inches i have to reach for the under totals 1.209 miles of extra reaching i would do over the course of my life. Assuming i wipe once a day(which i do). I would rather spare myself that extra effort. |

The stats don't lie. |

Poor math will though. I forgot the multiplier. I probably wipe on average four times per movement. Now we're in the neighborhood of 5 miles over the course of my life(provided i dont run into current forum management in a dark alley). That's ridiculous Matty. I'm not going to stretch out over 5 miles so i dont appear uncouth. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
The lack of that extra exercise will probably cancel out any benefits.
|

You should put this sticker over it and see how long it stays on: I kind of want to get a 0.6 sticker, but they dont make them yet. |

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Matty, technically speaking you'd want to go wet 'n' dry unless you're content with air-drying your chuff.
Matty, technically speaking you'd want to go wet 'n' dry unless you're content with air-drying your chuff.
Dry, wet, dry?
|
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Dry, wet, dry?
That would be bordering on overly technical. Problem I see, AMD, with dry-wet-dry is the potential for smearing if not correctly applied at the first dry attempt. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
But does going wet/dry leave you susceptible to the dry tearing off and leaving remnants?

Never. I've been winnet*-free for years now using my patented (for the purposes of this thread) method of wet 'n' dry. Once you try it you'll never go back to old-fashioned tp. I'm on the dry then wet bandwagon. The wet quickly evaporates.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
I remember SS bringing this up a while ago, but not sure if it was in this thread, and my search didn't help. Either way, the discussion was about wives/gf/family members trying to act knowledgeable about sports. Anyway, me, my friend, my dad, and my dad's gf were at the house today watching the Nats game, when Roger Bernadina singled home Sandy Leon to take the lead, and my dad's gf goes "Ooooh a home run!" lolllll. I had to restrain myself from cracking up on the spot.

Ask her what her time is and then tear her down from there. The hardest-hitting reply would be the pseudo-compliment..."that's not a bad time for someone of your size (or substitute weight)". I'm not one for insulting fat people out loud, to their faces...but she's asking for it with her attitude. dude, my life the last 6th months. My new boss out of Buffalo NY has never managed anyone offsite, so basically I dont exist. Ive had bosses out of Cali and Conneticutt, never been an issue. Had convos, not helping. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
They were handing out promotions and I got passed over for "specialists" who specialize in hanging out with the boss for 2 hour lunches and putting in 25 hour weeks.
Me? I just am first in, last out and win cases that others lose. Who would want that in a lawyer? I have been bent over and f'd up the ass so many times. I have 20 years of excellent State service and, for the first time, am really thinking hard about leaving it behind. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
I have a feeling it will be full day of Warpathing for me. I think I will read and post until the "specialists" show up. So, I should be good for at least another couple hours ... add in lunch and I am good until about 3:00. Then, of course, it's time to go home to - I kid you not, this an actual quote from one of them - "avoid rush hour". You know how I f'ing avoid rush hour? I work until 6:00 - 6:30.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Does anyone else have a problem with the quick reply button too? Half the time it doesn't work for me, it's starting to get annoying. I'm on Chrome too.
As far as gears grinding goes, my boss got replaced on Monday by another guy, and I'm having a hard time adjusting. Not only did I carpool with my previous boss on HOV, but in the 8 months I worked for him we never had a problem with each other, and he was always straightforward and very easy to work with (probably because we've known each other for over a decade). But in the 2 1/2 days since my new boss got here, he's spent all his time changing my routine (which imo, didn't need changing at all, since it was streamlined and effective), and not just that, but the manner in which he wants me to do my job feels slower and more time-consuming, which I'm not a fan of. Naturally I'm going to have to adjust, but it's just been tough so far. My job is the one job in the parts department which I felt was not in need of an overhaul. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Yeah, I don't know what's up with the Quick Reply button (on Firefox)
Deadfish fist bumps. I'm sure we've talked about when some shakes your hand like a dead fish...that's annoying. But the other day someone gave me fist bump that was basically the equivalent. Then he did it again later. Weak sauce |

Pick a topic, let's entertain ourselves. In other news: Our satellite office is in close proximity to our client. They have slowly taken away our ability to manage our site to the point where we can't even order equipment or manage our network without checking with them first. Classic 'tail wagging the dog'. It pisses me off to no end but as I came into the situation after it was established I'm fighting an uphill battle with lots of "That's how we've always done it" BS. JoeRedskin, you're better than that. Don't let them be the reason you're working down to their level. By all means piss in their coffee, cancel their tee times, etc. Fight the power! |

Yes. It's working sporadically today. Sometimes available, sometimes not. Firefox. |

Weak sauce
An amusing meme from Cal Tech: When someone holds out their fist to fist bump you, hold your hand against it with your fingers spread out and shout "Turkey!" or one I came up with was both hands spread, thumbs on the fist and shout "Moose!". I'm sure there will be others. I hate the fist-bump...... |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
When your office has a all hands meeting and the boss says please ask anything and you do. Then get fire stormed for it.
Apparently don't ask what the roles of new hires are in the office, that is a no no. |
