Re: Presidential Race 2024
I think too many have turned their backs on Trump, all of his let's say more casual supporters have seriously dwindled. Trump fatigue is real. He's down to just a hard core base and that won't be enough, just not buying this bologna about it being a close race.

Re: Presidential Race 2024
I believe Trump will win. I believe there are a ton of voters who are voting on nothing more than the price of eggs. They are too stupid and uninformed to understand that post COVID inflation was a global problem and not specific to the US. They probably can't stand the guy but have been convinced that the country was better under Trump based entirely on their grocery bill.
So they will hold their nose and vote for Donald Trump and their vote counts as much as mine does.
No , it doesn't . The Electoral College will see to that. That is the only thing that will save trump. |
Re: Presidential Race 2024
The polls continue to make it a toss up and Trump has always outperforrmed the polls. I don't see how that can be ignored.

If you're not voting for Trump, then look for another option that isn't Kamala, because she is awful, and Walz is even worse. |

But you also want to end the Electoral College. You must be very conflicted. Because you can't want to save our Republic but also want to terminate one of the few things that actually saves it. |

If you could replace Trump with a the 1st repulican you would actually vote for, who would it be? I have a tough time getting a read on your overall views. This might make it a little easier. What repulican would you like to be president in January? |

I liked Haley the best of those who ran but would have supported Desantis as well. I would not support Vance or any of the populists. |

Thanks for responding. You're like the Dos Equis man or something. I don't see lot of similarities between Haley and DeSantis personally, so that's an interesting split. Doesn't mean they don't exist though. Bonus question: How would you describe a populist? Turnabout is fair play, I'll answer any 3 questions, if you want to ask, by Friday afternoon. |

yes I do and here is an example why........... https://news.yahoo.com/news/electoral-college-incinerate-half-million-083351234.html Electoral College will incinerate a half-million Kansas votes for Kamala. That’s a problem. I agree everyone's vote should count, the electoral College takes that away |

So to "save" the above votes you would then need to "incinerate" the majority of Kansas votes. The Electoral College is the only thing that gives Kansas as a state any voice at all. |

trump has never won a popular vote election, ever. Kansa voters vote should count the same as mine no more no less. |

Turnabout is fair play, I'll answer any 3 questions, if you want to ask, by Friday afternoon.
Populists use divisive them versus us tactics, resort to making promises to address acute or short term needs of a group of people (which is why populists are usually Dems in the US) that often are detrimental to the long term interests of those same people and the country as a whole. This MAGA version is isolationist, xenophobic nationalist, anti-immigration (problem is it includes legal immigration), is opposed to free trade and opposed to entitlement reform for entitlements benefiting to their group (In this case social security). |
