Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
Clinton Portis just gave up on this team tonight.

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
The season is not over. We didn't learn anything we didn't already know tonight. I feel confident in saying that the Ravens are better than we are. I would have said that coming in. Nobody thought we were ready for an offensive explosion, and if I told you Ed Reed would force two turnovers and we would have to finish the game without Jansen AND Samuels, you probably would not have thought we would have scored an offensive TD. So there's that.
Hopefully, we'll field five guys on the offensive line next week, and we'll get a win in Cincinnati. I'll look at the tape on Thursday on Friday, and see if I have anything to add to this.
Why bother looking at the tape? You just said we didn't learn anything tonight that we already didn't know!!!!!! Why torture yourself again GTripp?? Are you some sort of masochist? You already must be freezing your ass off and buried in snow in Grand Rapids!!!! Why subject yourself to more torture? |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
11 straight runs
A loser named McClain No stops when we knew it was coming P.A.T.H.E.T.I.C If we got the ball back, who knows what JC would have done...everyone wouldn't be so furious....Where the hell was Mcintosh, Griffin, Blades? anyone to stop that fullback from chewing up 8 minutes? |
Clinton Portis just gave up on this team tonight.
Why wouldn't he do that? I mean the rest of the offense gave up several games ago. He's the only ones makign plays and getting killed out there. |
Clinton Portis just gave up on this team tonight.
How the hell did he do that? He was hardly playing tonight. And how many total rushing attemps did we have this game? ....21. All game. And of those Portis only had.... 11. Yeah Portis is DEFINITELY at the top of our problem list. |

portis was the only one playing hard and hurt shouldnt have been playing in the first place we need bigger receivers a better off line and a quarterback with balls |

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
Portis didn't give up, that's just retarded to say. He's taken a serious beating all year and a lot of guys with his injuries probably wouldn't even be out there in the first place.

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
GET OFF JC's BACK!!! HE HAS TO RUN FOR HIS LIFE EVERY PLAY!! WE NEED A NEW LINE NOT A NEW QB!!

Start Colt Brennan. Portis is a soft quitter. Anything else? :postcop: |

I think in the second half he was. Don't really remember seeing him in the 4th.. |

You forgot fire Jim Zorn. LOL. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
Joe Gibbs teams got better in December. JZ team is getting worse.
The team year stated winning late last year because Todd Collins came in and started playing Qb at the 100+ QB rating level [unlike the rest of his career]. The team was inspired by the tragic murder of ST. I think Zorn deserves to be given his contract to build a winning team. I'll be concerned if we're at this spot next season. This franchise has to make choices at Head Coach and stick with them for better or worse. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
O-line is suspect. I mean we had some guy named Geisinger protecting JC's blindside when Samuels went down. The result? Sack.
Too many times O-lineman whiff, or miss assignments, and stand watching the back or JC get spanked. |

just saw a pic of it,the site says something about cooley,I think cooleys schlong must be smaller, lol this is from the site Thanks to everyone that sent us pics of this. It's hard to get emotional about Vikings head Brad Childress' son going into the Marines when there's all this flaccid black cock staring me in the face. Pretty sure Heidi Klum has the same problem when she's taping Project Runway, but we're getting off-topic. I'm not sure if this was in the Vikings' locker room after their win against Detroit or if this came from one of those cruise ships in 2005. This would be a good time to point out that, yes, the images after the jump are not safe for work. Here we go. Man, I'd hate to be Chris Cooley right now. But who is it? KOGOD thinks it might be this guy, but I really can't tell at all. Either way, I sure hope Coach Childress doesn't catch wind of any of this. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
I hope someone remembers to pick up Carlos Rogers' jock strap. The last I saw it, it was laying on about the Skins 20, and a Ravens wideout was scoring.

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
the O LINE is horrible, this is not JC's fault

You are funny Sheriff!!!!! I never said start Colt Brennan, but I don't think at this point indirectly calling people morons for wanting to start a thread about it is that cool. Sometime soon there is going to be a point where the FO is going to say the guy isn't 'the one" to get us back to being a perennial winner and contender. And if '09 is a bust you know it is going to be buh bye to JC. JC naturally is going to ask for a raise and Snyder isn't going to do that for an average QB. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
JC isn't even the problem right now, next topic.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
Clinton portis is a warrior and played hard and hurt. He is an inspiration to the team and played harder than many on this team.
Clinton Portis is the best weapon on this offense. Without him this offense has no teeth. We need other players of his talent if this offense is to improve. |

And getting his arm hit when throwing, or getting decked immediately after getting a pass off. The protection is awful. I'm having flashbacks to the Spurrier days. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
I don't think anyone blaming JC is really watching the game. Can we just move on?

Your right please lets do so, I think me you and Matty were the only ones that must have watched it because these idiots in here are calling for his head, i feel bad for him |

I don't have access to Zorn's press conferences. I measure a coach by what his team's does on the field, not by his pressie. I'm very interested to see what Zorn does with certain players after this season. Ruthlessness is something Zorn will need to help get this team better. |

i agree JC wasnt the problem tonight but there were signs of "inepitude" all across the board, man to realize the careers of samuels, thomas and jansen wont be the foundation to playoff sucess really hurts but its true. these great group of guys gave us a window for about 3-4 years and we failed to capitalize. time to regroup? go skins!!! |

But I look at the tape so I can learn, and don't have to assume that the front office and coaching staff will put the same sort of effort into game analysis that a lot of people on this site do, and hope for better results. |

Thank you. Didn't anyone else see against Pittsburgh and Baltimore how JC drops back and immediately gets hit? He has no time, no one to throw to that early in a play and no real help at all. He's escaped and still make several great runs down the field, but he can't play 1-on-11. The line couldn't pick up a blitz at all last night and when Samuels was replaced by Geisinger...Campbell probably saw his life flash before his eyes, the guy couldn't block anyone. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
Its so much fun to click through these game threads the day after a game. Its at it best when we are loosing then come back to win.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
^ Yep...I never read or participate in the threads during the game. I always come on Mondays to read and laugh.

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread
Funny how the season is mirroring the pre-season. Started strong then shit the bed in the end.
