They may as well have. Honestly, I think the Vikes D will be pretty good year next. They signed an AWESOME pair of backers in the draft. Now if they pan out in their first year is a different question, but they won't be slouches by any means.

Also, their offense is always pretty good and Birk will be returning to anchor up the middle. I know we all thought we would rape the Bears in the opener last year and that didn't happen. I see it being the same way this year. We'll beat the Vikes by a TD (and maybe a FG) but no more than that. Then we'll see later on the Vikes are better than we thought they were originally.

I like your attitude, but at the same time: new coach new QB new RB, doesnt really make them that scary, but they did get hutchinson

Isn't Johnson still going to be QB for them? They have Koren Robinson, Williamson going into his second year and greatly improved their defense. Who's their RB again?

I think the Skins will have a fight, but we'll take them to something the tune of 27-17.

I think with the overhaul that the ownership is doing on both personnel and team conduct that the Vikings are going to have a tough time putting together more than 5-6 wins. I wonder what the spirit in the lockerroom is like with Childress in and Daunte out, plus I'm sure we'll see a rerun of the Love Boat episode. Not enough convincing positives on that team for me to believe they will play respectable enough against us. I really see a blowout, a defining statement to the rest of the NFL that says HERE WE ARE!

Ahhh, he'll run pretty well behind that line.

More than anything I want to see Smoot get burned and run over. I liked him while he was here, and at the risk of re-raising this debate, he didn't show any team loyalty.

3 WR set with Moss, BL, and ARE and throw a WR Screen to Moss!

I I can't wait for the god damn season to start!

Randel El should toss a TD pass to Moss on an end-around after being handed the ball by Portis. :)

Ok, maybe we should save that for Dallas.

I'd be happy with a 75 yard TD run by Portis.

Re: New thread: First offensive series, first play, whats the call?

Starting at the Redskins 10, as Rabach snaps the ball to Brunell, Cooley throws hundreds of boat cruise tickets up in the air. As the Vikings dive on the ground for them Cooley slips away and catches a 10 yard hook then laterals it to Portis who runs it about 30 yards before pausing to do a Heisman pose then hand it off "statue of liberty" style to Santana Moss who takes it another 20 yards who laterals it to Joe Gibbs (yeah he suits up) who takes it in for the touchdown

either that or screen pass to Randle El

Man, you forgot one essential part in the equation. Strippers!

Joe Bugel strips on the sideline, but for some reason the only one who is distracted is Jeff Garcia.

You see? This is why I'm posting on message boards and not coaching in the NFL
