I'd agree with you there. I think we're all concerned about that one. Still though, I know Parcells said it, but that doesn't make Fasano any better of a receiver than he was in college. I just take exception to the fact that he only had something like 8 TDs in his career. I also read how his speed was something not to be desired.
well he had a 4.71 40's wich is average for TE not really fast but not slow. the analysis is that he doesn has explosive speed... great hands good route runner wich is great because your first target in tha toffesne is Witten as a TE fasano is a guy to take away presure and if teams are concentrating a lot on witten you can still hurth them with fasano.

But I dont expect him to have 800 yard season.
No man Fasano is more of a passing TE great on the second line blocking according to reports that's why on the beggining they where trashing Parcell's pick of fasano because they said we allready have a passing TE in Witten who is a pro bowler, after parcell made clear we're going to go full time with the 2 TE set the pick made sense the idea is to not let the defenses charge 1 side.

and our backup is Romo not henson and as ther said if either QB goes down we both have inexpirience replacements, but I have more confidance of drew making it the hole season than Brunnell
I've heard of blocking TEs and receiving TEs, but a passing TE? Wouldn't he look kind of out of place in the pocket?

Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys - 2006 Predictions
well the thing with the last meeting vs Owens is that when he played with the eagles you only had to focus on owens because no one else could catch the ball.... here if your team puts a lot of attention to owens it frees Witten, Glenn and fasano and I'm not countign that it will take people out of the boxs giving space for JJ to run... there are 2 many wepons in this team and if Owens recuries more than single coverage it will open the hole offense.
Funny video of Terry Glenn aside, I'll grant that you do have some offensive weapons, primarily receivers. TO can open things up for everyone, I agree. Unfortunately it wouldn't matter if TO is 30 yards from the nearest defender if your QB is lying flat on his back starting at the clouds.

All the offensive weapons in the world won't do jacksquat with your porous offensive line. You were ranked 4th overall last season in sacks allowed, right behind Houston, Minnesota and the New York Jets. The last time we played Dallas, Bledsoe got nailed what, 7 times?

Not to sound so cliche, but both games this season will come down to how well the Dallas offensive line does. The key to TO, or Glenn, or Fasano or Jones is not coverage in the secondary, it's pressuring Bledsoe.

I don't follow Dallas news, but have they done anything to fix the atrocious O-line?

Honestly, I'm not worried about their running game at all. Unless they became the most potent running attack overnight, there's nothing the Skins D can't handle and that was adequately proved last year and the year before that.

yeah man but that was aftger Adams went down and we had crap at both Tackle position how many sacks did your tea mgot in the first meeting when all the players where healthy ...... 0

and well we have Adams back, sign Fabini to cover the other Tackle position and sign Kosier to take over Allens spot and after the first mini camp wich it isn't much the line looks good Adams a little rusty hope he get it 100% by tranning camp.

W/ all due respedt to those unfortunate souls rooting for the team which shall not be named, sorry dudes - Kosiedr and Fabini are not saviors for that pathetic line. Henson is immobile and your back-up ain't a threat.

Campbell has been getting rave reviews from the Skins defense. My bet is that he is much more likely to be able to step in and succeed than Romo.

But - the bottom line is, it all starts in the trenches and your OL simply is not up to par.

My bad, I meant Bledsoe. It appears Henson is just simply a washout.

What's the story on Romo? I know he's been hanging around, but he doesn't seem to generate any buzz other than - "If Bledsoe gets hurt, Henson hasn't shown enough to step up leaving them with Romo". Not exactly ringing endorsements.

At least with Campbell, the question is whether or not he can make the adjustment as he is commonly described as "having all the tools".

Sorry, I can't claim credit for it. If I recall it was originally posted by Malcom - I grabbed it and threw it up on my webserver for future reference and the benefit of posterity.

Well bless you because I missed it the first time. I saw it live and the commentators had a field day with it. Posterity is a gooooood thing!

Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys - 2006 Predictions

In order for T.O to be affective, he has to have a qb that can throw the ball...umm bledsoe??? Showed last year that if you bring pressure drew gets scared and can't throw the ball with any accuracy

I think the key to slowing down T.O. is to bump him at the line and blitz the qb.
