Edge > Portis in the passing game.
Possibly, but those are two of the top three RBs in the passing game. Both are excellent blockers and great route runners with solid hands.

they just did pass defense.
they ranked the skins #2 |

they ranked the skins #2
I can honestly say I was a little bit shocked by how high they had us. I saw it on a TV at a bar with no sound, so I didn't hear what they actually said, but I felt like the team would be the weakest in this area. Hopefully they're right! |

We have solid/exceptional starters but after that we have Ade Jimoh and god knows who else. They did give Williams all the credit though, and I can't disagree with that. Plug and play baby, plug and play! |
Re: The Ultimate NFL Depth Chart
I take more issue with Atlanta being ranked ahead of Washington than the New York Giants. I don't see Dunn and Vick as better than the Skins running game.
Vick + Dunn = 2013 rushing yards in 2005 and 2008 rushing yards in 2004. I would put them ahead of us. |

Don't forget about Kenny Wright as the nickel corner. Jimoh is our 4th corner, which is a perfect spot for him. |

and don't forget about Duckett in the red zone. I think we could have been a notch higher in the RB ranking but I completely agree with the placement of the team in the Pass Catchers ranking and actually think they should be #2-3 in pass defense with Carolina who they ranked as #1 not even in the top five. Tonight they rank the rush defense and I see them having us around the 4-8 range. And as somebody has said, if the ESPN guys themselves r doing these rankings, how the freak can they then turn around and pick the cowpies or wee-men over the Skins? that's something that makes u go hmmmm |

Playmakers? Check Coaching staff? Check Defense? Check So what's the deal?? |

Re: The Ultimate NFL Depth Chart
Yeah, I'm SO SO SO sick of the Cowboy's defense love affair too. Every time I hear them talk about them, they're like "The Cowboys have an elite young defense." Last I checked the Skins were ahead of them in defense last year.

McNabb > Mark Brunell healthy > Eli > Bledsoe. |
McNabb > Mark Brunell healthy > Eli > Bledsoe.
I agree, but they key is Mark Brunell healthy. As soon as he gets banged up, he plays like ass. If happened for all of 2004 and towards the end of 2005. If he can remain healthy, he should be able to perform pretty well with the weapons around him this season. |
Re: The Ultimate NFL Depth Chart
Right, so let's just assume he's healthy for now, which he is.
McNabb > Mark Brunell healthy > Eli > Bledsoe.
I think it is more McNabb> Mark Brunell healthy > Bledsoe > Eli. Eli flat out sucked the last few games of the season and their blowout loss to the Panthers. As far as I know he didn't lose any lineman or have any documented injury during that time. His TD pass against us in the second game was due to Plaxico tipping the ball up and Toomer making a lucky dive in the end zone. |
