Re: What Happen to Your D
For my 500th post I ask that this be locked. I am not going to discuss the best defense in the league with a Cowturd fan who doesnt even have ground to speak on. Its funny he is even here to begin with. Pick a side and stay on it.

Re: What Happen to Your D
Apparently you do not know who our starters are.
1st preseason against the Bengals - 2 series played total of 19 yards given up. 2nd presason game against the Jets - 1st series 0 yards, 2nd series 40 yards, 3rd series 6 yards Total of 46 yards Most Starters removed after 1st quarter. So go back to defendeding the signning of TO and Concrete legs with your fabulous o-line. CRT is back it is time to rumble. |
By the way is anyone else impressed with the play of Mike Espy, he has been a pleasant surprise. Being loaded at wide receiver hurts his chances but I hope he makes it. Anyways let me know what you all think.
i was more impressed with JIMMY FARRIS, that guy never drops a pass thrown his way. i would like to see him make the team. ESPY has been hot and cold, he dropped a few very catchable balls last game. |
Hey Guys I didn't actually saw the game followed it by Gamecast, but man your first team defense got torch for more then 140 yards rushing by a crappy Jets running game.
This is suppose to be your strength and the offense that even I believe it's going to be explosive has been non existence And Man was Gibbs pissed after the game what are your thoughts about all the things happening?
What do I think? I think the same defense that humiliated your pathetic team in the most lopsided game in the rivalry improved over the offseason. What did you guys do besides get rid of your best lineman and pay Roy for getting older and slower? |
Re: What Happen to Your D
too much hate.
it's just preseason. it happens. |
I don't think D'Boyz is trying to trash talk us. I think he's earnestly asking our opinion of the problems.
Schneed10 thxs for your opinion man yeah I wasn't trying to trash talk I wanted and honest direct opinion and I appreciate your really well rounded and based opinion. I'm a little concerned because I really believe your team is a mayor contender but I haven't seen that yet, I expected some off timing on your offense as you said specially on Brunell I just don't see much on his tank left. But I really expected your D to dominate specially in the run game I was just surprised your first team d to get run over but you cleared that up really good let's see this weekend how it goes. Sorry for the delay on the response lost my connection the past days |

There's a Parcells-TO joke here. I just know there is. Let me ask you a question. Seems like Marion Barber is getting a lot of carries in the red zone this preseason. Is that to keep JJ fresh? Are they going to platoon them? Or is the first step toward phasing Jones out of there? I think that's your big X factor this year, the running game. |
Re: What Happen to Your D
ohh and to the 1 saying it's only preseason MAN I Know.... we all know teams don't show their playbook only "vanilla" plays as they call it.
During preseason I don't care if the team wins or loses. I look for the first team offense to move the chains in the few drives they play, QB look comfortable and in sink with wr, look for the protection of the line and see if they can open holes, if the wr are getting separation. In case of the D even if they don't blitz a lot try to see the coverage, speed and control on the line. But specially I try to see the younger guys see if anyone shows something that can contribute to the season more than just practice squad, and if there seems to be any problems get to them before the season starts. That's why asked you guys about your team |

Obviously, from reading the posts by Redskin fans after last week's preseason game, we are all concerned...a little, but it really is about evaluating young talent and getting back into "football shape". See you in week two. Always welcome here for discussion, D'boyz. |

Why JJ has more burst, elusivness and speed, Marion has more toughness and can get the tougher yards that's why they are starting to use him in goaline and short yard situation. Marion has improve a lot since last year and it's really pushing JJ for playing time but JJ it's still the starter I believe that they will share the carries but if JJ starts getting games like Carolina ans Seattle last year the amount off carries in that game would change |

He hits the hole hard and runs downhill. Hate to admit it, but he's a stud runner who has gotten better every year. I think our D Line can contain him due to the fact that your O Line isn't what it used to be. |
Re: What Happen to Your D
It could just be Parcells mind tricks, but I've heard some rumors that he ain't so crazy about Jones. Doesn't think he's tough enough.
