Re: Farce-uleta
i just want to say hahahaha
I told you so, I told you so He was a bust in StL bad a coverage, didn't make enough plays, looked lost. I told you, you don't let a former 1st round pick leave after 5 years when his contract is up unless his a bust, he was supposed to be the foundation of the Stl defense and it wasn't like the where in CAP problems because off the increment on the CAP this year and it wasn't like they have 1 of the best defenses. If you let 1 of those players go and he's worth something but you can't work a deal out you put the Franchise tag on him and trade him you just don't let him walk without getting anything back for your investment. |
Re: Farce-uleta
Told you so after 3 games?
Please. Let's revisit this after the season. |
Re: Farce-uleta
Don't you have your OWN fan site?? Or are they so boring that you have to post on a site where REAL fans are? Why are you always over here bothering us? I can't stand the site of that star. Be gone!
I don't understand why guys just hang there in no man's land. Take the short guy or take the deep guy but take someone. I'm pretty sure he was supposed to cover Johnson on that deep cross. It's a lack of awareness.
I could not agree more, some players play like robots and do not think! In zone defense after 5-6 seconds the defensive player really needs to pick up a player in their zone area and stick with them. On a pass play the QB usually throws it in about 4 to 8 seconds after the snap. Why release a receiver in that time span of the play, especially if there is no other defensive player there to pick him up, don't release him at all! F_ING Morons! Plus if there is no other receiver coming into you zone why release a player to pick up nobody? Some players don't think. |
Re: Farce-uleta
I've never been a fan of Archeletta. Watching yesterday, he misses tackles, and when he does hit someone it's someone from OUR team. He put a hit on two Redskins towards the end of plays. Maybe Pittsburgh will trade Archeletta for Clark straight up. Taylor and Clark were working well together. Yeah, LT posterized him, but hell -- there aren't many safeties that LT hasn't.

Re: Farce-uleta
I was at the game yesterday and Archuleta did not play that bad. On TV you do not see the defensive backfield and you do not get to see what the defense is doing. I was paying extra attention to Archuleta at this game and he made a great play on a sweep/reverse. Arch had coverage responsibilty on the right side of the defensive backfield and the Texans ran a sweep to the the right side (left side of the defense). The Texans blocked it perfectly and sealed the DE, LB and CB on that side. It looked like the runner was going to break a huge run. Archuleta showed great speed and ran all the way from the opposite side of the field and forced the runner back inside where his teamate made the tackle for a short gain. You could not see that on TV.
I am not an Archuleta fan and was not crazy when we picked him up, but I watched him for most of the game and he played a respectable game. There are other players that are playing worse than he is. I love Cooley, but there is something wrong with him. He could not block yesterday. At one point I saw a small skinny CB put him on his ass. On several other plays he would put his hands on the player he wanted to block and just gave up. HIS BLOCKING WAS TERRIBLE! If he is going continue to block like that Gibbs needs to take him out on run plays. Mike Sellers on the other hand blocks like a mad man! |
Re: Farce-uleta
I guess we have to crucify someone else since Brunnel had a good game.:)
Arch clearly is having some problems adjusting to the defense. He also seems to have some amazing speed and when we get Springs back, or when another corner learns to shut down the other WRs, we may see Arch getting to the QB quite a bit. Cut him a little slack, I think that the whole defense is still playing beneath thier abilities. |

Clark is not the answer either. I still remember being very disapponited when Alstott ran him over for the TD late in the playoff game. Then he was slow to get up because he was in pain. He is a liability in the run defense. Which is our slight weakness right now. I still say if you want to pick on someone for playing poorly yesterday, Cooley did not look good. That is putting it nicley. |
Re: Farce-uleta
How can you not like Cooley? He isn't very tough though
|
Re: Farce-uleta
I really like Cooley. The problem is I watched him play in person this last weekend and his blocking was very weak. No it sucked!
Maybe he is hurt, I do not know? But he was terrible on Sunday and I think because he is a very popular player he is not going to get put down like some of the other players. It wasn't on a play or two that he wimped out, he did not make a single block worth writing about and he was in almost every offensive running play. I was shocked at how terrible a blocker he was on Sunday. All of this against a very weak defense. How is going to play against a strong defense? If he is going to continue being a blocker he is jus going to be a liability. Gibbs needs to adjust the way he is using Cooley. |
Re: Farce-uleta
I know you said you liked him my question was just a How could anyone not like Cooley after what he's done for us. Personally I am not the biggest fan b/c I think some of his success may have gone to his head and his girlfriend is incredibly hot.

Re: Farce-uleta
why does it always have to be about the hot girlfriend?:)

Re: Farce-uleta
That TD was not Arch's fault. The Redskins play this coverage on a frequent basis. They have been burnt bad by it every single time. The coverage calls for Marshall to race back to the Deep center and cover that area. HE has never made it and besides the Johnson TD, the Cowbosy game had the same coverage. Last year, I do not remember the game but the same thing. If a good QB reads this it is a TD. My suggestion would be for GW to file it in the trash, IT DOES NOT WORK.
