You have to give him the opportunity to get hit to determine whether he is afraid to get hit.
Um maybe the way the organization works is wrong for a proven offense. It is people like you that bash everytime something new doesnt work right away, and the front office had that mentality/still might have it. The reason we went to the playoffs last year, is because we had one losing year with Gibbs, and Danny boy did not give him the ax. Keeping similar systems tends to lead to winning in the NFL. Last year in the playoffs, this great offense of last year totally stopped. People doubled Moss, and Cooley, and stacked the line, and the Skins couldnt do shit. Everyone was bitching about the offense, and it finally got the fire power(recievers) and the ammo(the playbook) that it desperated needed. It is gonna take a while for it to work, but Saunders ran a finesse offense like they do with the Colts, and it is working perfectly fine.

Saying that Saunders's style is not prone towards winning is just ignorant and wrong.
If "Last year in the playoffs, this great offense of last year totally stopped. People doubled Moss, and Cooley, and stacked the line, and the Skins couldnt do shit. " is the case, we got 2 more reliable receivers in ARE and LLOYD to take the extra defenders off of Moss so why not use last years Offense and see if it worked seeing that we added those to counter the coverage on Moss? why throw a whole new system? I say let Coach Gibbs run the team.... didnt need saunders. dont care if you say it takes time to learn a new system we were not that far off last year from the big game.. so why throw something in that confuses everyone or takes 10 wks or a season to grasp when more than likely you wont have all them same players next year and you will have new players learning a system new to them. back in the same boat. so i say why not leave the system we had last yr since we added new wr's. It is saunders thats causing this mostly, some MB but mostly saunders. JG needs to take the reigns and take this team back over..
So why did we change systems to Saunders' stuff. Yes it's a proven winning system, but its NOT a proven CHAMPIONSHIP system. Ball control is a proven championship system year after year.
There is a reason Payton Manning hasn't won a super bowl- Finnesse wins regular season games - Intimidation (defense, running and playaction) wins Championships.
There was no reason to add Saunders after last year. Gibb's system was making progress - like you said, why change a proven system.
Gibbs = 3 super bowls.
Saunders = 0
It's not about winning in October, I'm sure after one or two more years Saunders giant playbook can give you an 11-5 season, but I'll guarantee it won't give you a super bowls. Why wait 2 years to be back where we were last year, when this season could have been special.
HUGE MISTAKE
First of all, read the rest of my post that you are ignoring. our offensed SUCKED in the playoffs, why? Because there were not enough plays, only several recievers, and the play calling was very conservative. That is why we lost against Seattle, and should have agaisnt Tampa. The point? Defenses pick up easy and basic offenses, like ours last year. It wasnt gonna work this year, we needed change, everyone wanted it, now it we got it. So just shuttup and stick with it until next year then start bitching.

yeah cuz moss was getting double and triple covered. now we have others to take the coverage off of him.. GIBBS SHOULD TAKE OVER THE OFFENSE PERIOD. WE NEED TO WIN NOW NOT WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR OR LATER.

BC last year's team was not good enough for the big game. Jeez when will you people learn, not to jump all over people every given week. Last year it was the same people complaining about our offense being lame, and needing more fire power, now we have it, and it will take a while to develop, but having a losing season is worth more than having a lackluster basic offense that was no good for the long run.

And for all you tools that are trying to blame this simply on the offense, Brunell really sucks and Saunders knows that, that's why he can't run the plays that are good deep passing routes, so he has to stick with what Mark does best, which is shit. Bring in JC, and I promise by the end of the year, the offense will look more like KC's of the past.

Finally, are you totally overlooking the D??? They can't do anything at all, and are not making turnovers to put the offense in a good position to score. Last year when we made that run the turnover margin was like +11. Right now we are like -2 or something, another reason why we suck.
Lesson? Stop being elementary, and put blame on one individual, esp the one who is probably gonna provide long term success to this organization as long as the front office doesnt think like you guys.

GIBBS NEEDS TO TAKE OVER!!!! You missed what i said "It is saunders thats causing this mostly, some MB but mostly saunders. JG needs to take the reigns and take this team back over.." you werent around for most of Gibbs' last coaching era here.. so you havent seen what he can do. Dingy nor Saunders havent won superbowls. GIBBS has Let him take over..

Gibbs had control last two years, and he didnt do squat, yeah he made a run towards last year, but last year's offense was a terrible one in the playoffs. When it mattered, we couldnt make those tricky plays, and we couldnt open it up. Brunell is a huge problem for the system. Believe me I know what Gibbs can do, and I not putting the blame on his shoulders, as you so squarely are on Saunders. Again it is very ignorant to ignore all aspects of this problem.

And I really hope future NFL managers are looking at these suggestions to learn the way NOT to run a football team.

I am done with this pointless debate. I re-read your posts, now re-read mine, and don't forget(like everyone now does) how we did towards the end of last year, and how basic and crappy our offense was shown to be(was it 25 total yards agaisnt tampa??).

Re: Lloyd's Sideline Hissyfit

We added more receivers like i said to take the coverage off of moss which was the problem last year so why not run with the old plus with new wrs instead of new wrs AND a new system.. this is the Redskins not Chiefs.

You might want to take a closer look at things, G. Williams defense has been carrying this team for the last 2 years, Gibbs offense was pathetic, we were getting better on offense? Theres a joke, take a look at our last 3 games last season, if thats your idea of progress than you will never understand the game.

Saunders was the guru behind the greatest show on turf, and I do believe they won a SB. Just because he may not be cut out as a head coach doesn't mean he can't be a tremendous O-coordiantor. Kind of tough to run an offense when your hamstrung with a QB that Gibbs can't part ways with in Brunell, Saunders turned a bag boy in Warner into an MVP he knows how to deal with QB's. In which right now he doesn't have one.

Uhmmm No, Saunders was not the "guru" of the Rams Super Bowl team. Mike Martz was the O-coordinator and Vermeil was the Coach. Saunders was.... drum roll... wide recievers coach.. not really the hardest job when your receivers are Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce in their primes.
Why does everyone want to ball wash Saunders so much? and with wrong information?
He wasn't a "guru"
yes he was O-coordinator at KC and they racked up a bunch of yards, but let's check the Chiefs playoff record in Saunders five years there.
Hmm. ONE playoff game- ONE, and they lost- That's NO playoff wins in five years-
NONE
We don't need that crap.
His is NOT an offense designed to win playoff games.
The kind of Offense you run affects what kind of defense you have. His offense sets a tempo that the defense has to follow and the defense gets exhausted and gives up big plays. That's one big reason KC's defense was always terrible.
The concept of Ball control is foreign to Saunders.
He can take his fancy playbook and shove it up his A$$ - that is if there's any room up there next to all you guys who love him so much.

who cares? it didn't look good, but we've got bigger problems, like defence, depth, protection, and a bad QB.

not to mention, it's much easier to call plays and look good when you've got 2 HoF players on your o line. after losing both tackles, larry johnson isn't exactly looking like he-man any more.

You guys can get upset and call for Jason Campbell or Gibbs to retire etc.
I'll keep on trusting Joe Gibbs, the Redskins players and 95% of the staff! Ofcourse it'd be awesome if we ran the table and got in playoffs and all you fairweather people could read your own pathetic fan woe texts.

IN GIBBS I TRUST!
