No one fears Rivers because they barely know who he is. Give him a few years. :)

Tiki has no TDs because Jacobs is the goal-line back and has his 4 TDs on his stat sheet. They pull Tiki in the red zone. He does have 715 rushing yards this year...very solid. It's barely "all" Eli.

You talk about Gates...the Giants have a very involved TE too...who probably doesn't get double-teamed like Gates. The TEs are a wash.

How you can bring Brunell into a discussion of the best young QBs I'll never know, but since you did...ignoring that he has the 8th-best QB rating in the NFL since you don't like that stat; he's in the top half of the league in passing yards, he has the LEAST number of interceptions of ALL starting QBs in the league, has not lost a fumble yet, has a respectable middle-of-the-league 200 yds/game even with the short passes Saunders calls...he's nowhere NEAR being one of the 5 worst. He's not a top QB, but he's going a good job with the system he plays in. You love Manning so much, he averages 7.2 yards per attempt. Brunell is at 7.1 yds/attempt.

Who are you? The "other" Manning brother? :D

I like Rivers, but he hasnt faced any adversity in SD, and hasn't had to win a game for them. That's when things get interesting. I'm not a Giants fan, I just watched Eli Kick our asss, and the asses of everyone else in the division. Then I watched Rivers play Marty-Ball. 4TD's is not a lot for Jacobs. We know Eli is good, Rivers still has more to prove, but i would love to have both of them of course.

Why are we even discussing sorry ass Alex Smith? Didn't he make a high score on the Wonderlic test? Who gives a damn? That flag football ass offense he ran in college hasn't helped him yet. Oh yeah, Big Ben is being exposed as the sorry ass QB he's always been too!

The most basic problem with the list is that it came from SI. They are "pop-sports" savvy, but have no real analysts in the house.

I know a lot of people are high on Eli Manning, but I've come to believe that neither Manning brother will ever win a Super Bowl.

"It's hard to convince me that a guy who wins 27 of his first 31 games is 'just along for the ride'."

Alex Smith is better this year, but it's probably not possible to be as bad as last year.

Aaron Rodgers doesn't belong on the list yet. I'd have more faith in Campbell than Rodgers...or Cutler.

Strictly as a QB, Vince Young is bad. As an athlete and leader, he's great. He could have a good career despite his underdeveloped passing skills because he can always keep defenses guessing and he can make plays without having to throw. This is proven by his 100-yard passing games that still allow his team to be in position to win against some good teams like Indy and the Skins.

Leinart would be great with an o-line. He has the skills and the head...but not the time and protection to put them on display.

Phillip Rivers is a huge surprise to me. I didn't think he's be anywhere near Drew Brees as a replacement to him...but he's proving me wrong. He's the real deal. Let's hope that we'll see similar results when Jason Campbell plays since we're developing him in a similar manner.

Schaub needs a new team. He looked pretty good when given the chance, but he will be a career backup in Atlanta. He'd make every team a good backup right now, but whether he can suceed in 16 games is unknown.

MY TOP 10:

1 - Rivers
2 - Leinart
3 - Manning
4 - Grossman (ok, he's 26 but STILL a young QB)
5 - J. P. Losman
6 - V. Young
7 - Roethlisberger
8 - Chris Simms (ok, he's 26 too...)
9 - Charlie Frye (even on a horrible Cleveland team with no offensive line, mediocre WRs and a banged-up RB, he's shown flashes of great play)
10 - J. Campbell...only ranked #10 because of no snaps, but he belongs on the list.

I would put Frye towards the top of that list not just on it, as for Campbell you have to understand in many peoples eye's outside of this forum they see a QB who can't beat out Brunell, enough said.

What about Kellen Clemens and Matt Cassel? Surprise they're not on the list, considering some of the names that are. Clemens was the darling of the NY media this summer it seemed. He might be good, he might be Babe Laufenberg. I actually think Cassel could be a very good QB in the league.

WTF are you on? This isn't last season, freaking pay attention. Alex has been awesome this season. I think it's very impressive how quickly he has developed because he has had to learn two offenses in two seasons and has had to adjust to having mostly new guys around him. His play so far in spite of all the lack of contiuty around him astounds me, I never thought he would come along this quickly after running a gimmick offense in college. He's going to be a great QB.

Your'e right! Excuse me, he's setting the world on fire! He had a good game at the start of the season and people tried to anoint him! ALEX SMITh aint worth the paper that fat ass contract he got is written on.
However, I will give you this...........At least you have found your QB of the future. Why should I pay attention to that sorry ass team. I've got my own problems with my own team!

Stop talking out of your ass please.
