Sorry hooskins, but I'd like you to make that same statement to my mother who tried her best to be the dutiful and faithful wife, but was cheated on by her husband who had no real reason to stray. He made a vow and didn't keep it. The responsibility lies with him.

Well dont you feel that your mother should have then moved away from someone who cheats? I am not trying to push to the absolutes, but I do feel you have some control over matters in your personal life.

In general I believe in destiny and a higher order, but I do feel your choices can and will have an impact on that. The same carries on with relationships. You cant just always put blame on others, because your actions can prevent things from happening. Just my personal way of thinking.

I believe that people who would waste their time with sites like this one are in the minority. I'm currently single, and I wouldn't consider this. That certainly wouldn't change if I wasn't single.

She did move away, my dad made that choice for her by leaving us. I guess I take issue with what you said about outside influences not being able to affect a relationship if it is really strong. My mother thought she had a strong relationship for the most part. No marriage is perfect. Funny thing is my dad always detested men who cheated on their wives. However, he made some very bad choices in his life and allowed temptation to ruin his family. He eventually became the thing he hated most.

On a side note, men are bombarded by sexual images everyday and I believe it can have affect. I have witnessed more marriages being ruined by a man's addiction to pornography than I care to count.

For the sake of argument, infidelity does not have to be related to a site. Whether its online or offline if you are looking for something else, chances are you will find it one way or another. The site provides a means for those who want to be discrete or lack social skills. I would think that you are one who does not have trouble finding partners, therefore this site is not appealing to you. With that said, those sites attract the people that they target.

I like porn, but that doesnt change my values toward my marriage or create a lust or a void that I feel that I need filled. I think that the deciding factor is if you watch it with your spouse or significant other then you are not at risk. It is when you try to hide it from them that you have an issue.

Although I do agree with your assessment about your mother's situation I dont know how you can prevent yourself from noticing things that are clearly out there. Something like pornography can be avoiding but is out there, and I think quite a bit of people are either into that or not. I dont think a man not into porno will just become addicted and destroy his marriage to it if he sees it once.

EDIT: The point is that simply getting rid of these sites in order to protect marriages is silly, IMO. I think a marriage that cant hold through something like a sugar daddy website is not a strong marriage at all.

Ok, you and I are going to have vastly different viewpoints on this subject. I will ask this question though. If you aren't fulfilling a lustful desire by watching it, then why watch it at all? What's the point?

You've spoken about your christian beliefs and I won't go into what the bible says about it. I'm just curious how you justify it. It's a simple question and I'm not attacking you, so please don't be offended. That's not my intention.
