Re: Eli Manning out at least a month
first i dont want to celebrate the giants getting injured, especially after what happened to the te in buffalo. but secondly on nfl live a while ago i think john clayton was the one who said the skins would hold on to brunell for the season to start because if a qb went down they could get a lot more for him... this is probably the only case i would want to trade inside the division
thoughts?? |
Yeah I agree week 3 SHOULD be an easy win, Let's just hope we beat the eagles first.
There's no such thing as an easy win in the NFL, let alone in the NFC East. Do you happen to remember 1989? We gave a certain team in the NFC East their only victory that year? It was supposed to be an easy win. |

Re: Eli Manning out at least a month
This may sound strange but I'm pissed that Brandon Jacobs will be out...I was looking forward to seeing him and Sean go at it, those two really don't like each other.
Jacobs could also be seen howling at Washington safety Sean Taylor. Jacobs said after the game Taylor warned him, "You'd better protect yourself" the next time they tangled. "He throws his whole body out there like he's got another one in the closet," Jacobs said. "I don't see myself taking one of those hits. I respect his game. The NFL needs safeties like him, the way he hits, it sets the tone. Me, myself, I'm not going to allow the tone to get set by him hitting me like that." Jacobs also accused the Redskins of spitting at him last year and of twisting ankles and hitting in the groin whenever they get the chance. "Those kind of things," he said. Re: Eli Manning out at least a month
Speaking of players who are out, cornerback Lito Sheppard of the Eagles will miss next week's game:

It will have to go without saying. |
Knowing Leftwich's alleged adversity to practicing hard, and Coughlin's drill sargeant tendencies that'd be quite a combo to see.
I also believe that Leftwich doesn't want to be the baindaid until Manning comes back. He wants a team that will keep him as #1. |
Re: Eli Manning out at least a month
I just saw a interview on SportsNet of Eli being questioned about the shoulder and the rumors about a dislocation and he said that its not, thats its just bruised. He said that he's day to day, and plans to be back in practive in about two days.
This could be pretty interesting. ESPN is still saying that he's gonna be out at least a month with a dislocated shoulder, and doesnt mention the fact that Eli said its not. |

I like "The round mound of touchdown" myself. Not that I think (or hope) it will happen, but if this guy comes in and lights it up for a week or two, would you keep Eli on the bench?I mean even if he does well do you think its possible that he could be a full time starter in this league.Thats a big boy and he has to be hard to bring down, but he cant be particularly mobile. |
Re: Eli Manning out at least a month
I want to thank all of you out there for your concern on Eli,what will most likely happen is resign Hasselbeck and L-Load will start.Eli was playing well in the game I believe had we not got decimated by the injuried the pukes would have lost.:smashfrea
