Favre is, without question, the third best QB right now. The old man is having an incredible season.

Quality QBs that are in the twilight of their careers or at least look like they are on their downward slope or the injury bug has certainly limited their potential. Favre would have been here last year, but certainly not this year.

Obviously, from year to year, a QB can change tiers...some get better (Favre), some get worse (McNair, Leftwich), and some are on their way up (Garrard, Anderson).[/quote]

1) Brady
2) Roethlisberger
3) P. Manning
4) Romo
5) Farve/Brees

Manning has sliiped with his last two games. Manning has 10 Int's alread this year. Romo has 11.

Top current QB Ratings in the entire NFL:

1) Brady 131.8
2) Roethlisberger 110.2
3) Romo 103

I am still willing to give P. Manning the benefit of the doubt and put him just ahead of Romo. Plus Colts have played a slightly tougher schedule than Dallas.

Wow. It only took 8 posts to get a Jason Campbell mention with regard to who is the third best QB in the NFL now. I said on another thread that Campbell was the best draft pick of the Gibbs 2.0 era by a wide margin; I think he's developing quickly and very well.

But he's not the 3rd best QB in the NFL now and - truth be told - he's not in the Top Ten either in 2007. Maybe he makes Top Ten in 2008? Maybe he makes Top Three in 2010 or 2011? We can only hope...

I would agree with Palmer. I think before all is said and done he will put up some big numbers and be up there with the very best in NFL history.

Gotta go with Brett Favre. Putting up huge numbers (again), his team is 8-1, and he already holds a few all time records. Big Ben and Romo (barf) are right up there, as well as Carson. IMO

I'd have Palmer higher up there, but the question was "Who's 3rd best RIGHT NOW." Palmer is the QB of a 3-6 team that's struggling offensively.

He was accused of sexually harrassing a female trainer his sophomore year (she was paid by Tennessee and it was dropped) and then another woman said he groped her his junior year several times. It was all he said she said stuff which is why I don't know how much to believe.
My original post also didn't say he sucks or that he isn't great, just not the best in the league. I'd consistently take Favre, Brady or Palmer over him.
