I thought I was the only one who used the term "asshat" hahah!

As far as him looking like a genius...its beyond that now if this is true. Belichick is a genius but people still hate him for being a jerk. Snyder officially can't win if this is fact.
i had this strange odd thought yesterday why is " the dan" taking soooo long to hire a new coach if i recall last time this happened he blew us all away with gibbs. Why would he wait till after the super bowl.....this going to sound stupid.....does he have a connection with belicheck?.......

first time i thought it, it sounded odd, but isn't that the BIGGEST name possible and we all know how dan likes BIG names.......

This basically says that GW hasn't been told anything and we still have nothing concrete; just rumors, heresay and speculation.

no way...may I remind us all that so far we've been told that Jim Mora Jr. has been offered the job, and then Fassel was offered the job....not only that but all the media outlets are presenting the same mutated version of the story...I don't buy it

always nice to know when you need head support, like when ypur head might 'splode from all this MESS there is always that old neck brace you can put on for support and make you feel just a little better, way to go 40
Who knows. GW might pull a Lavar and start crapping on everyone.

That would be a pretty sad day.
Yeah you never know but it looks like from the JLC post on this page that he is talking good about Gibbs. I agree that would be a sad day and hopefully the post on page 2 is accurate.

Re: huhh??? now what
Ok. So let me ask you this. If the report is true, do you think Snyder would use Williams' differing philosophy and spin it, I guess, in his mind as an affront to Gibbs? Thereby making it easier for him to justify his decision not to hire Williams, so as to avoid what he perceives as inevitable personality conflicts with him and Cerrato?

If people believe that Williams was basically dissing Gibbs, most fans would become somewhat sympathetic to Snyder and be much more accepting of his decision to hire another coach.
I think GW probably wanted more control than Snyder/Cerrato were willing to give up in addition to personality conflicts with GW & Cerrato. In the ESPN article GW made a point to say he and Cerrato got along fine, obviously trying to diffuse rumors to the contrary.

This GW "bad-mouthing" Gibbs had to be leaked by someone in the interview and it sure doesn't seem to be an accident. I hope this isn't the case and it's the media folks blowing things out of proportion. If it's true that "team sources" are saying this as Mort & JLC are reporting, I will have no respect for both Snyder/Cerrato.

Re: ESPN's Mortenson: Williams No Longer a Candidate

Classy is as Classy does. I can say I'm not for all the changes being made but bringing in new blood might(no gaurantee) help us play all 4 quarters on defense. I also have not liked that fact that GW defense is backwards. His system is more about the CB/LB then it is about the DE/DT. I'm not saying his system does not work just my feelings. I have always liked the defenses that have gotten a strong rush from the line forcing bad throws causing interceptions.

I say Classy is as Classy does because if I'm not mistaken doesn't GW treat some of his players that way. In less those players were dumber then a box of rocks and didn't get it when he called them in then his treatment of players being benched without one word as to why( even we knew it was their pour play) or when they might see the field again. I wonder now if Arrington was not serious when he stated he would be back in 08. lol.
I know I'm sorta bashing but I did like GW. I liked AS also but for the life of me I couldn't figure out why this high flying offense never took here. We may never know. I will be a pisser if he goes back to the Rams and the team scores a lot and makes the play offs.

I'm not someone who usually likes change. We knew what we had here. I will be interested in seeing the team that is put together. If it is Fassell then as long as he allows the OC to do his job and the DC to do his job and not screw with their system then hopefully we have a high priced motivational speaker(figure head). If I'm not mistaken I belive the players in NY didn't want Fassell to leave either so he must be personable with the players.

We are what we are. Very similar to the Raiders right now and if DS keeps following the path he has traveled since he has purchased the team then no coach will want to interview or be coach here. If all I kept seeing was a revolving door and no in house promotions or true commitment towards the coaches in house then why would I want to climb aboard just to get knocked off? I would bide my time and take a look at another team. If the smear campaign is their next cooked up plan to explain all this then I feel sorry for them. I don't have a problem with all the secret squarl stuff. I would want to get my ducks in a row before I made any announcments also. Then I'd have only one instead of one for my HC and one for my OC and then another for my DC. I also doubt any OC or DC would allow themselves to get hired with out knowing who they would be working for. I would want to know so I would know if I could get a long with them. You don't take a job not knowing. You take the job and the team gets a coach you can't stand or don't like then what...you have a change of heart. No. The coach has been picked. The secret squarl stuff is for DS to have one meeting with the press. The big question is can we get a decent DC now. The smear campaign will only make DS look bad at this point. Fans have grown attached to GW and any campaign will make DS look bad at this point and discourage other DC from wanting to come here.

Sorry so long.

Is Al Davis running our FO? Man if this is true, we are as bad as the Raiders, maybe worse.

While I don't think Snyder should bow to pressure from outside influences, part of me wishes he would go ahead and make a decision on someone.

Rip it off quick like a band-aid!

JLC just updated the title to his blog..."Expect Williams to Withdraw Saturday"

I wish that were followed by "Expect Snyder to give up ownership"

...If this is true or not...I've never been more embarrassed to be a fan...I wish 2007 never happened for the skins
