Re: Redskins vs. Rams predictions
Let's break down the Rams thus far. 32nd in Total Offense, 31st in Total Defense, 0-4. Averaging about 11 points a game while giving up 36+. Signed, released and re-signed Eddie Kennison in a matter of a mere 3 weeks.
However, with a new head coach in Jim Haslett and coming off a bye week, these guys are fighting with a dangerous combination of pride and desperation. If there ever was a trap game this year for the Skins, this is it. Marc Bulger, while struggling behind a paper thin offensive line, is still capable of having a good game, with Torry Holt his main target. However, beyond Holt, their receivers are piss poor. Springs shadowing Holt, with Landry deep will force Bulger to make plays to other wideouts. Steven Jackson sat out most of training camp in a contract dispute, but looked good against Buffalo before the bye (110 rushing, 78 receiving, 1 TD). The Rams will try to force mismatches with Jackson coming out of the backfield. As long as the Skins stay focused, this matchup shouldn't be a problem. Skins 31 Rams 19 |

rams 9 portis 193 yards 3 tds |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams predictions
Don't forget skins legends, that Steven Jackson ran it up on one of the best D's in the league in the Bills, so I would be prepared to see these cheese dicks put some points on the board, plus Bulger is coming off his benching, so he is gonna be looking to show St. Louis fans he is the real deal!

Re: Redskins vs. Rams predictions
Taking a page from our glorious past ... the Redskins stage an encore performance of the most lopsided playoff victory in my memory ...
Redskins 51 Rams 7 Afterwards, Al Saunders is overheard saying, to no one in particular: "I never want to play those guys again" !! |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams predictions
I personally wouldn't consider the Bills Defense one of the best in the league LandrySlice. There schedule has been pretty light and I'm pretty sure Arizona had 3 rushing TD's in last weeks game against the bills. However I do agree with your point about bulger and wanting to prove something. Sadly for bulger though were not the team he will be proving that certain something against.

Re: Redskins vs. Rams predictions
I am not trying to take away anything from any of the Rams players, everyone knows that they have solid position players. BUT we have gone against the best of the league and held our own, offensively and defensively. The Redskins can and should be as impressive if not more, this week against a lesser opponent as they were the last two weeks.
I'll take my Ram served MEDIUM!!! |

Re: Redskins vs. Rams predictions
Lets see, I attempted to predict week one, and we lost. I consciously decided not to predict the last 4 weeks and we've won. I don't think its Zorn's teachings as much as it is me not predicting. I mean just check the facts.
Therefore, I won't be predicting again, in hopes that Angry will once again predict a thorough thrashing of our team. Go Skins
You guys do not understand how hard it is to do this with a straight face. The Redskins will come in over confident and allow the Rams to stay close until the second half. After the second half kickoff, Al Saunders's 700 page playbook will all of a sudden become so clear to the Rams offense that it ignites an explosion of 40+ yard plays and double digit touchdowns. Jason Campbell throws his first 3 interceptions turning the ball over to the Rams new found life; leaving the Washington faithfull with jaws dropped and pride ripped away. St. Louis 84 Skins 10 |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams predictions
For them to score 84 on us JC would have to throw 12 picks to the house.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Rams predictions
Ok since 3 picks isn't good enough, JC only gets to throw three before he goes down with an injury and gets placed on IR. Collins throws the other 9.
Happy now? |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams predictions
It's going to take a while for Saunders 700 page playbook to show any dividends for the Rams. It won't start against Greg Blache and our defense. We ran for over 200 yards on the Iggles and the Rams will not shut down Santana. We're at home after 2 tough road wins. Redskins-41 Rams-6

Re: Redskins vs. Rams predictions
Don't expect the play calling to take a break.
Defense puts on the pressure. Offense finally makes a turnover... but it matters not. Skins 31 Rams 20 |
