He's disrespected yet now he will go sign for the same amount of money elsewhere. Who in their right mind would sign a 30yr old backup who covers kicks for anything more then the vet minimum?

I don't care about his special teams holiness. If you freaking play that position all the time then you better get good at it. I think the learning curve to become a "great" special teams is MUCH lower than being a dominant LB.

Exactly. I don't get why a lot of players don't understand the business side of things. Actually they do but only from their perspective I guess. He was a special teamer with spot duty on downs. Min deal is all he is gonna get and I doubt he'll be any more "respected" by any of the other 31 teams. Have fun moving and learning a new scheme.

I think he feels disrespected, because he was on a multi year deal, and the team only wants him back at the vet min. So, yeah, disrespect is the right word. But at the same time, it's not like the Redskins are undervaluing his skill set. If you'd rather get a fresh start at the vet min, be my guest. That's what "free" agency is.

I don't take any issue with his comments. And I agree with the sentiment that if he thinks he's getting a multi year deal from any other team, he's crazy. If he gets even a two year offer, he should sign on the dotted line the moment the PDF comes through.
