Re: The Rant Thread

Why is merging so freaking difficult for people? And where does there always have to be that one a-hole that has to butt in front of everyone for no good reason? Is it that important to get one spot ahead? Really?

And how come I work in a "paperless" office yet everyone is always printing?

Re: The Rant Thread

I hate people who feel the need to say that they are rant free on a thread where everyone is coming to read a good rant. Are they so self-absorbed that they don't see the need to vent through good ranting? Or am I too conceited to acknowledge that some one might be having a good day and not need to rant. I hate conceited people who can't celebrate a good rant free day, they have no clue how to enjoy life. And I hate people who start every rant saying they hate people. I just hate that.

When you're not feeling well and can't make it to work, do you call in, or do you call out? What's the proper term?
Another one:

seems like this frigin team is not all that pissed at the loss. Just kind of wrote it off: well, it the giants on the road, tough team, blah, blah, gotta improve, gotta stop making mistakes.

I no longer live in NYC but I did for 20 years. I cannot tell you how friggin painful it is to have to eat sh** from gints fans and have nothing to say back. They own us. We are their prison bitches. This should really bother a pro football team, but it doesn't really seem to.

Oy.
Here's Cooley's take on your complaint:

"I mean, fans are the best coaches in the world," Cooley joked. "And a little bit to their credit, so are a lot of us. In hindsight, calling a game is so easy. And a lot of the things that we do [wrong] are simple mistakes to fix. In hindsight, things are great. It's so hard to do what we do. And it's not like high school football, where guys can just go out and play.

"I understand that everyone's upset, but they need to understand that this is the most important thing in our lives as well, and that we're the ones spending all the time and doing everything, and it matters. I mean, as much as it matters to any fan, to me, it's my life."

I hate elementary statistics.

I understand I'm a psych major and since I'm going to grad school, I'll have to do a lot of research, but damnit, math sucks and I want it to die a slow and painful death.

I pay $800/mo for health insurance and still have $50 deductibles? WTF?

I can't get my 2nd mortgage subordinated to refinance b/c I owe 90% of my home's value? FU Bank of America.

Ahhh...I feel a little better already. I'll be back.

HATER.........
you might be happier in NYC, or possibly LA? Your continous ranting, and hating would go unnoticed

I hate rushing into the store to grabe an item and then there is someone in the 12 item line with a basket full. It makes matters worse when the pin head cashier does not say anything. I will note that if you have a few items over its no big deal.

@FD - that's my favorite. The lone asshole who can't see that it says Express - 10 Items or Less when they roll up with a cart full of crap...actually it's not a case of seeing, they just don't care.

I work about 3 miles from where I live, so much more often than not, I go home for lunch. Not one stinkin' car in front of me used their turn signal when I went home for lunch today. 5 different cars turned left or right in front of me and couldn't be bothered to use a freakin' turn signal.

That's my vibe on society in general. No one cares about anyone but themselves anymore. It's a frickin' shame...

^^^ yeah those people who have more than 20 items each in teh 15 or less aisle piss me off, especially those couples who break their 40 plus items up into two piles acting like they are two separate customers but then just pay all at once.

- i follow every civil/polite society law there is, well i try to anyway but 1 day there were huge lines at the grocery store and no one in the 15 or less aisle so the guy working the 15 or less aisle (who im cool with, joke with when im getting groceries) calls me over to his aisle and is like "man, you know you dont have to wait in those lines with all those other people buddy, your a vip in here" . . so im like crap, of course after i loaded my things on teh belt a bunch of people with 15 items or less start getting in line and then, plow, im that ahole with 40 plus items in the 15 item line.

im an easy going guy, dont let my lil rants fool ya, i just get mad when i go out of my way to do the right things and others are intentionally doing what they know they shouldnt do.

ps - firstdown, the bars places i go arent bad per se, normally people dont start stuff with me, im an easy peaceful guy, too old to fight every jackass askin for it, just this weekend really got me ready to throw down b/c 2 guys in less than 8 hrs started ish with my girl. freakin step to a man, not his woman.

i dont know whether this thread is helpin me vent or gettin me all fired up refreshing what pisses me off.

go skins!!

I'm the same way as you following the civil/polite society laws. It also bugs the crape out of me when I take my time to hold the door open for someone and they walk in or out without saying thank you. When they do that I usually give them the loud "your welcome".
