If Brandon Spikes keeps slipping as rumored he might be there for us at the top of the 2nd and wouldn't be a bad choice

Trade down, get a 1st and a 3rd

1st-Charles Brown
2nd-Brandon Spikes
3rd-Kyle Calloway
4th-JEVAN SNEAD
5th-some running back dude

I could live with that.
Yeah except for Snead, and I know your not going to like this but, he's not that good. He threw way to many INT's, and doesn't fit shanny's offense like a Kafka or Zac Robinson would. Snead is an Eli Manning type QB. He also had McCluster and Shay Hodge to throw to this year with a still decent OL. And last year he had Michael Oher to block as well as Mike Wallace to throw to. Not much of a drop off and he threw 5 ints in more than one game. His stats for the year were like 20 TD's and 26 Int's....No I'm sorry but theres a reason why this guy is a 3rd round grade QB, and he can't run, so therefore shanahan won't take a QB who can't scramble/sell out a bootleg.
Just curious but Charles Brown is projected to be a late first round/early second round pick. in this scenario where do you see us trading down to, because a top 5 pick is worth a lot more then just a late first and a third.
Brown's moving up the charts. I don't think he gets past the middle of the first anymore.

Okung is still the favorite then I give the slight edge to Bruce Campbell or Anthony Davis, simply because Campbell seems to have the higher upside. After those 3 then Charles Brown has the slight edge over Bulaga because BB projects as a better fit for the right side of the line.

If we stay where we are I think those 5 are gone by the time we pick in the 2nd round. I had thought Campbell or Brown might be, but that's looking less and less likely. As they've gone up, Trent Williams continues to drop. So I see him, Capers, Pouncey (even though he's not a T, and really Capers might not be either), and Fox as your most likely 2nd round linemen

Well I don't know much about Kafka so I won't comment on him. I don't think anyone here was mentioning Zac Robinson before I was, yet I don't see him as a full time NFL QB. I like his moxie but I don't think he has a very strong arm, not entirely consistent, doesn't always look off the first receiver and-while I know he didn't have Dez Bryant for much of the year-his numbers weren't all that great.

McCluster played mainly RB this year and as you mentioned both Oher and Wallace were gone. Snead had 20 TDS and 20 INTs incidentally. Both Snead has the size, the arm strength, and the mobility (maybe he's not Randall Cunningham but he's not Mark Rypien either) to be well worth a 4th-5th round pick in my opinion.

All that said though, I would add that there has been no indication that the Redskins are interested in Snead. I've only heard Bradford, Clausen, McCoy, Hall, and Hiller (and I know some have said Robinson so I guess that's also a possibility)

I'd be very happy if we came away with Okung and Pouncey. I'd settle for Campbell and Pouncey. ;) I think Campbells going to end up being a beast at the next level.

Those QB's aren't that worthy of drafting (Hall, Hiller) and I kind of agree about Zac Robinson that he does have one bad jason campbell quality which is staring down his first receiver too long. If we want Hiller we could probably get him in as an UFA rather than drafting him.

Where's the love for Kafka and Skelton??

Skelton is awful, I think/hope that Smootsmack has realized that aswell, plus the guy can't play in this offense.

I don't think that Smoot is saying that these guys like Skelton, etc are going to become huge stars and especially not overnight, just interesting prospects/projects. Nobody drafts a starter late and he knows that.

If Kyle Shanahan likes Colt Brennan...then I'm cool with passing on a QB in the draft!

If this was 1986, we could draft Skelton in the 6th round and he'd be winning a SB for us under Gibbs 5 years later...I'm not a QB coach, but I ain't no dummy either. I've seen more tape of these guys than most people get the opportunity to. Plus I'm lucky enough to speak to people with tremendous knowledge on the subject. Skelton isn't a good fit for this offense and he has to work on his attitude and his accuracy, but with his size it's hard not to be intrigued. I've said before he's intriguing but wouldn't be a good fit here. Love watching Robinson at OK State, not a good fit here. Think Snead had a really rough year but has a lot of ability to-under the right coaching-potentially be a solid NFL QB in a year or two.

But to me if Bradford is there at #4 you take him, if he's not and Clausen is there you strongly consider it. And if you take neither there's really no one worth taking at QB before round 4 or 5

I'm not sold on LeFevour nor am I really on Colt McCoy. I liked McCoy better last year when his name was Chase Daniel.
