The alcohlic part is something I'm starting to believe.

I am not really seeing a Jenny Craig before and after photo here. Some people just have chubby cheeks even when they are thin. To say becasue he has gained some weight he is alcoholic is kind of a stretch.

He's definitely filled out a lot since he was a rook. I do agree it's a bit of a stretch to blame it all on booze. It may be a part of it but he's also 6 years older and I read an article on him where he said he has bulked up on purpose in order to take the punishment of playing QB.

well that's what happened...i saw it on espn. he was having one of his boys to go out and recruit women to come into the vip section, so there were people around. i mean how much of an assult could've went on if he's up in a vip section with many people around. this is so stupid on so many levels.

Or he is using roids or taking way too many amino acid tablets(legal roids). As a freshman, me, my roomie, and one of my suite mates had to use all the strengh we had to hold back our other suite mate(who was drunk as hell) from raping a female friend of his that was visiting us when he got back. The guy was drunk, but he was a bodybuilder, that was taking amino acid big time. The guy saw Heather( a rather shapely brunette) and went bonkers.

Yeah, I'm not saying that it's definitely proves he's an alcohlic but I do think that combined with the photos (of him around town) and reputation he has around town it makes a case towards that possibility. I mean one of the easiest ways to gain weight is to drink alcohol and Ben's weight has been going up without muscle gain which is unusual for a guy thats as physically active as a pro football player.

In the end it's just circumstantial but it does point to the possibility.

Agreed, and by the same token McNabb has gained a lot of weight to since his rookie year so maybe I'm making a lot of noise about nothing. I still think though that theres a strong chance that he's an alcoholic. Just based on what I've seen from people that I've met in my own life (none in my own family mind you) and other stuff that I keep hearing about Ben, especially from the part of my family that currently lives in Pittsburgh.

Better yet if I were to put a number on it I would say that I'm 70% sure.

Edit: On a side note, owning a shirt that says "drink like a champion" doesn't really help your case :D

Why would it be? IF he was with his homies, do you think they would have done anything if Ben bent her over, etc? If they were drunk they would have laughed or joined in probably. Not saying it happened, I wasn't there, but just from experience in college, befriending many college athletes in a MAC school, I can tell you I wouldn't feel too comfortable being a hot blond weighing 115 lbs finding myself in a room of a bunch of drunk, horny male athletes or their gophers.

And on a more global level, does Big Ben maybe think.......maybe he needs to take stock of how he is spending off time. At least the ONLY off time that the media reports? I am confident the Steelers would appreciate it whether it is just or not........
