As I write this, there are still about 12 hours until this newest reality show hits the airwaves. Still time for 100 more crawls, 1,000 more educated projections, a million more tweets. I'll probably watch "The Decision," because, like so many others in my business, I am a prisoner of the process. i can see broadcasting it live, for about 10 minutes or so. but an hour??? i just don't get it. he hasn't even won anything and he flat out quit on his team in the playoffs.

I get that it's all about the dollars, but my god man. The amount of coverage is nauseating. "The Decision" brought to you Bing and University of Phoenix? Barf. It's NON STOP on ESPN. I know it's big news, but how many different ways can you break it down? Sheesh.

It was my understanding that Maverick Carter/Worldwide Wes & Co. contacted ESPN with the idea for the hour-long show, as long as they were able to sell the ad space.

Wasn't he already throwing to high schoolers last week? I get the feeling the Favre-Fest 2010 version won't be like the past few seasons. He needed that ankle surgery to play this year went ahead and had it done, plus this year's Vikings team is as good as any team he's had his entire career. I think it's a forgone conclusion he's playing this year.
