I disagree about Hall, I think he can improve his game w/better safety coverage & maturity on his part. He has big play ability & I think he stays around a while for that reason. The next great pass d could be next year or 2012 & I see him on the roster.
Yeah agree. I think as the pass rush disappeared from weeks 8-13, less mistakes were made by passers and throws were more deliberate...Hall struggled more along with the rest of our coverage. Hall makes plays in the secondary we need that. Landry does as well, but playin half a season doesnt sit well with me. To me Hall is part of the solution rather than the problem. Doesnt help when Moore struggled immensly in his "breakout" season, with everything from tackling to coverage. The only way would advocate Hall leaving is if we drafted one of the top 2 CB(which I really prefer not too with all the other areas we need help) and signed Carlos. If Hall was traded and we signed Ike Taylor that to me is a wash. Taylor probably better in coverage, but positive impactful plays? Hall proven to be more valuable based on last season play. |

Does anyone know if banks is under contract for next year?

Re: contracts expiring
It is time to start the developing players on this team and see if they sink or swim...for far to long the Skins let these players lavish on the bench till something is shown! The rest of the league makes those players show up and play or get cut.
With the large number of players leaving I see an opportunity to start something new! OLB start Orakpo, Fletch, Riley, and Rob JAckson, with depth as Alexander and Wilson and Blades and I would love to see an additional name added by draft or free agent...starter or not. The secondary I like Bucannon but not at a larger price tag. The Cb are good with Hall and Rodgers (I wish he could catch). Dirty 30 is a monster in this 3-4! Now the other safety position is in need of a player. Everything we have is depth! I was encouraged with the d-line play of Carriker and Bryant in the last games...jarmon is young and must show what he got this year! Now offense I think we have a little more upside started with players like Austin in the end and Banks and Armstrong...Man I can't remember when we had young good WR's hopefully ready to take strides to kill the Skins desire to get a big name WR and save there money for the o-Line! As for the O-line put out the help wanted sign!!! get Rabach out of here! Need a gaurd maybe second round of the draft! Sellers needs to go. He just doesnt fit this system we need someone who can take a 1 yard pass and take it the distance...not an additional yard. Portis gone! get a vet to go with Torain and K. Williams. I am seeing potential this year to start seeing things change to get this team in the right direction! |

Probably not but since he doesn't have 4 years of service he's an exclusive rights free agent meaning he can't go anywhere. |

Under contract through 2013 I believe |
Re: contracts expiring
Rogers may be kept, but for minimum, I really think the skins will push hard to get Pittsburgh steeler corner Ike Taylor.
Sellers is usless IMO ditto for Wilson, and about more than half of the other guys on that list. Dougthy needs to go. He is injury prone, and exposed in coverage badly. Keep Rex but go hard after Mallet, because all the other QB's in this draft are going to be busts IMO. Locker is more of a risk than a reward. Don't go after Andy Dalton. He doesn't have the arm or the right decision making process to succeed in the NFL. Plus he comes from the spread option offense. Tell me the last good QB to come out of that offense is? |
Re: contracts expiring
Andre Carter just listed his house for sale in Virginia. No bullshit. haha, i knew that was coming.
|
Re: contracts expiring
Yeah I think someone reported seeing moving trucks at his house a week ago or so.
No big surprise. The writing is on the wall for Dre. He's a pro's pro, I'll be rooting for him wherever he goes. |
Re: contracts expiring
Does he have any gentlemen callers? Could be a decent fit at a LDE or something.
|
Re: contracts expiring
Wow.. He put his house for sale already? I guess he's gone. LOL

Re: contracts expiring
carter was solid IMO .. tough to switch him to a LB .. he will serve some team well as a sack specialist

Rocky and Carter will probably have little trouble finding work down in New Orleans. At the very least the Saints will make a push to sign Rocky. |

I believe, and rightfully so, he is fed up with this organization being micro managed by Snyder. Plus, he keeps hinting in his interviews that this is a business and anything can happen. |
Re: contracts expiring
Out of the list, Brown, Buchanon, Grossman, Rogers, and Wilson are the guys I would extend a reasonable offer. Rogers probably wants big money though, and the FO will [rightly] not cave into those demands.
