Wish i would have started this earlier in the week. This is gona date some of us. I was a junior in high school.

What I remember the most:
1. The 2nd Game Chip Shot booming some kicks in Dallas
2. Thinking Ricky Ervins was a bad ass3. Knowing Brad Edwards was one
4. Hating MC Hammmer and the Falcons.....Seat cushions flying!!!
5. Being glad Detroit beat Dallas
6. Knowing Detroit didnt stand a chance coming into RFK!
7. Sick that instant replay showed Monk stepping out of bounds in the SB for an early TD.8. Feeling that it was a done deal when Kurt Gouvea picked Kelly
9. Feeling even better when Ryp threw a freakin perfect pass to Clark.
10. Thankfull that i latched on to the Skins in 82 and the greatest most loyal fan base in the NFL.
Ervins was a bad ass for a while, didnt last long
Yes that was sickening that Monk had the td called back, not just because it was Monk but I think we might have ended up not even getting any points on that drive

Re: 1991 Redskins 20th Anniversary
Most importantly (something many fans today are to young to remember) the feeling that each week we were gonna kick the shit outta' somebody and NO MATTER what the score, we could...and would come back to win.
I did not DREAD game day but looked forward to it.....imagine that?
I made a boat load of $$$ on that team......
no shit, the skins of today scare the crap out of me,they should be called the cardiac skins the way it seems every game comes down to the last minute

Re: 1991 Redskins 20th Anniversary
I remember Brad Edwards body rocking Andre Reed, and Reed getting all pissed.

Best team ever?In 2010, ESPN conducted a "super league," consisting of the best Super Bowl winning teams of all time; the 1991 Redskins finished the regular season in first place with record of 14-2 and beat the 1992 Dallas Cowboys in the league finals to be named the greatest team of all time[3].
Yeah that team was great. We had the 3 headed rb situation kind of like we have now.Riggs was mostly the goal line specialist but I think he could have started for most teams in the league. And Byner and Ervins also were good that year

Just watched a few of those highlights and one of the things that stuck out to me was all the rollouts Rypien did,and a lot of them were rolling out to his left side.

It seems he threw every pass as hard as he possibly could! btw did anybody think Deion was going to tackle Ricky Ervins?

I love living in the past cause the present make my tummy hurt.

Check out Steve Young td pass around 2:10, Gibbs last game in his first tenure.

I remember this game very well. Very easily could've went our way had a few balls bounced in the right hands. But what a drop off Mark Rypien had that year. 91 he simply couldn't miss. And 92 he just fell off a cliff.

Yes sir and the next year he fell even further off of it. In 93, may have been the last game of the season, against Minnestota, skins trailing trying to win a meaningless game, Monk comes across the middle db right in his hip pocket, look like Monk had lost a step, ball hits him right in the gut and he drops it. I felt like the Indian with the tear coming down his face watching Manifest Destiny overtake the land, this was the end of the line for a proud franchise.

Yeah that was the beginning of the end. Ritchie was fired, Norv was hired, the house cleaning started and the downward spiral began and didn't stop.
