I don't know why that part about him thanking Crennel and Pioli made me feel better when I first read it. I mean the guy killed his girlfriend and as if that wasn't bad enough he apparently did it right in front of her mother. I should just be happy he's gone.
It was his mom.

How about his little 3month old that I am sure was in the house. Maybe mom was trying to protect their child. Shocking and sad. I have no sympathy for the man.

One word....

Coward.

Way to take your child's life and completely destroy anything close to normalcy. Good on ya sir.

I feel for all of those effected, but I have a very hard time feeling bad for the "man".

If I was his mother I'd be facing murder charges.

I wonder if he was on a synthetic steroid. Too flip out like that with no prior history of violence and said to have a very happy relationship. Sreams to me roid rage. I pray for the baby and the family of both parties, Crennel and Pioli

I'm curious to look at the chiefs injury report from the past couple of weeks to see if be showed up with a concussion. Because we have learned with recent research and events (seau) that head trauma can lead to people going insane.

I'm surprised they are still playing this game tomorrow. A player just killed himself at the team facility in front of a number of staff members and GM.

Something's in life are more important than football, those who witnessed it and teammates need time to grieve and receive some counseling.

He obviously has some serious issues, hard to feel bad for him when he killed his girlfriend in front of his mom and kid, basically leaving his child without either parent. I feel for the families.

In this case specifically it would not have a long term remafication for either teams playoff chances if the game was moved to Mon or Tues. Something as tragic as this would warrant some time to handle the emotions of the what the organization has just been through.

I agree, sometimes the NFL IMO gets a little selfish, how does Romeo coach tomorrow? Or even sleep tonight? Seriously that's bush league IMO

The men who witnessed this man take his life are most likely still in shock, they need time to digest what has just occurred.

I believe it was Pioli who said to play the game today, because he didn't want to let the fans down. I think the fans would understand if they postponed this one, if I'm Romeo Crennel I'd be having a hard time thinking about coaching today.

redskins5044 12-02-2012 08:51 AM

Well the league could have overruled him and cancelled the game.

Could've/should've/would've. Read an article that said the ruling sentiment amongst the players was that they should play, to distract themselves from the pain. If that's how they feel I support it.

Like others have said, they should cancel this game a least for a day. If you're KC how do you feel like playing a football game today? So sad.
