The Skins O sputters a bit at first while RG3 gets up to game speed but it all works out in the end.

Skins 24
Phil 17

Redskins 35 - Eagles 9

'Flagfest 2014' due to an overzealous, punchy, rabid Eagles D.

I really expect 200 yards rushing from us...Outside of RG3 playing, I cant wait to see our pass rush and see what the rotation of Tapp, Jenkins bring to the field.
44-17, Redskins. RG3 completes 18 of 24 passes for 284 yards and 2 touchdowns. He runs for 45 yards and another TD. Fred Davis hauls in 8 of RG3's passes for 97 yards and a TD. Alfred Morris has 148 yards rushing with a TD of his own. Brian Orakpo picks off a pass and returns it 20+ yards for a TD. Kai Forbath hits 3 of 3 field goals with a long of 50. Game over.
Don't you mean Ryan Kerrigan? I think you have your OLBs confused. Kerrigan is the "pick you off go for a TD" LB. I don't think Orakpo has even one INT in all his time here.

Damn man. You make it sound like its 2009 all over again and we can barely score over 17 points.

None of that.

Redskins - 27
Dirty birds - 17

Sure...we can hope!

Don't have high school stats for 'Rak but he's never had an INT in college or pros. :D

Re: Skins vs Eagles week 1

RGIII enters with a chip on his shoulder to show those naysayers about his health that it will take more than separating his leg from his body (almost) to keep him from opening a can of whoopass.

Redskins 34, Eagles 13 -- RGIII 2 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD, Alfmo adds one on the ground (along with 108 yards) and Amerson gets a pick 6; Cobra Kai with two FGs, including one from 53 yards.

Vick knocked out courtesy of the Kerrakpo sandwich. Foles engineers some pretty solid drives, but his 2 picks (one returned by Amerson for 6) seal the Iggles fate.

No, I knew exactly who I was talking about. Orakpo is known primarily for his pass rushing abilities. But I'm thinking he's going to be flying around the edge, while Kerrigan or another pass rusher is coming around the other side. Vick will try to dump it off to McCoy, and Orakpo will be right in the way, positioned perfectly to take it to the house. If this really happens, you'll have to recognize me as the genius I am. :)

LMAO, yes I will. I will be the one yelling "Genius!" at my TV Monday night if that happens.

Re: Skins vs Eagles week 1

I love the NFL Films clip of Griffin yelling "It's our night!". It will be again. A small personnel wish that might be discouraged here, is that I hope Reed Doughty, not Meriweather, starts at S. The up tempo that the Eagles are going to run will be stressful on a guy who has been in and out of practice. Doughty on the other hand has enough ST work that he is definitely well conditioned. We might lose some in coverage/big hits, but he will keep the running lanes clogged, and Rambo will just have to hold his own. Probably a tough task at first, but as many have pointed out, he is smart and learns.

The offense will be truly on fire. No doubt in my mind, Griffin when healthy gets BIG games and isn't going to shrink or wither on a Monday night stage, and the offense will follow his lead!

40 - 17 Skins seems right to me. Jackson will get a score, maybe two of defensive miscues, but it's not going to be a dogfight in any sense of the word.

Defense of the NFCE title starts on MNF!!!

Lol. Yeah it's still hard for me to believe how far our offense has come. From one of the worst to one of the best. A touchdown used to take a miracle it seemed. After watching some Eagles preseason with Kelly/Vick I'm concerned but still confident. It would be awesome to embarrass Vick the way he did us on that Monday night! HTTR!
