It's all about competition IMO. Only Williams should be penciled in as a 100% week one starter.[/quote]

I doubt we are paying Luavo or whatever his name is 16.5 mil to sit his fat ass on the bench. He will be starting at R or L guard come gameday. I think Moses will start over Polumbus as well, saving us some dough in the process, and Compton can back him up. Im just so tired of Polumbus eeking out a starting position every year because he has no competition. I hope Moses beats his ass out, and we never hear the name Polumbus ever again. Fuckin turnstyle.

Luavo is the starting LG. Has been since the day they signed him. Not my opinion; the Skins brass has said so numerous times.

Won't be surprised if Polumbus is the day 1 starter. The zone game can take a while to get the timing down. Moses seems like a smart kid and he's got talent so you never know though. Hopefully he comes in hungry and works hard.

I agree, Gruden has said Moses has a lot of work to do.

I am willing to bet, unless Moses looks lost in space, he will start. Polumbus can run block, but he can't create a pocket at all.

That was my thinking as well.

I wouldn't expect any of these OL to contribute this year unless there is an injury. I could see these guys replacing some of the guys next year, but not this year. In fact, beyond the kicker, I don't see really anybody from this years draft that will able to provide quality play this year.

It kinda amazes me that after all this clamoring for OL, over 60% of the board thinks that Neither will start week one, or that no rookie will have an impact for us in their rookie season.

Was there a poll on this?

If there was, put me in the minority. Jay Gruden outright stated that he thinks that Long will compete will a starting job. Coach Gruden said that Moses has a few more things to work on and it may take him a little longer to be ready to start than it will take Long.

Long has the advantage of having played his college ball in a similar system to the one Gruden employs. So, he (Long) says that he is picking it up quickly. According to Gruden, Long definitely has the physical tools.

Moses has more to learn about the system than Long does. Also, he needs to work on some techniques, For example, he plays a little high. So, it might take him a little longer to become a starter.

Now, this is strictly my own ignorant thoughts on Moses. You can say what you want about his flaws, but all he does is stonewall pass rushers. He is what you want physically, he's a smart guy who wants to succeed, and he plays hard. I think he definitely has a chance to surprise his coaches and start Game 1.

Who starts first out of the rookies?

Id lean towards Long.

Outside of OL, I would say Breeland, depending on what you mean by start.

you thinking the slot? I really think we'd be in trouble if thats the case.

I was thinking about putting Rak on the line, hand in dirt and putting Murphy over him.
