Obviously the definition of truth is being twisted just slightly.

I grew up in Washington, D.C., so I'm not used to hearing the truth. :joke: BTW, here's something from Rich Tandler's blog that you and over the mountain ought to know: —It appears that the Redskins running game will be very similar—perhaps identical—to what we’ve seen the past couple of years with a few power runs sprinkled in. Trent Williams likes the continuity. “I think that just goes to show you how football savvy [Jay Gruden] is,” he said. “All coaches preach to guys that you’ve got to be unselfish and do what’s good for the team, and I think that is the biggest example right there. It’s just showing that he can come in and adapt and play to our strengths, even though he is a new head coach.” |

EARTHQUAKE breaking something isn't as worrisome as Watt, Clowney, Mercilus, or Cushing breaking something... Anyway, Fitzpatrick is a solid vet with some good receivers to throw to now. And if Foster's healthy, he'll have a top-5ish back helping him out. I think the Texans will be a solid team. |

I didnt think I was twisting the truth. The thread asked for my prediction and I gave it and I thought I was being an optimist. The only way this team is better than last year is if RG plays better (which I think he will) and why I think they will double last year's win total. |
Re: Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction thread
Predictions are not facts therefore they aren't truths. If you have a crystal ball that's another story.

My prediction is TRUTH. We will go 12-4. Sell the house and kids now so you can place your bets. |

I think, not only does Griffin play better, but we don't see a team that throws in the towel in November and December like last year's team did. The Minnesota game is a case in point, where we were winning the game, but came out in the 2nd half and just folded. I don't know the exact reasons, I doubt it's all Shanahan, but I believe Gruden and the Skins don't lose that game. And December was laughable, you knew the team had left the building. So, imo, you can't just say a healthy Griffin is worth double last year's win totals, because last year's losses weren't always due to on the field causes (even though the symptoms were clearly bad play) |

I know which is why I was surprised/confused that you started talking about truth twisting. I dont use a crystal ball, I use tea leaves. |

They did throw in the towel and I attributed that to coming to the realization that RG didnt have it last year and as soon as they made the switch to KC the team saw the writing on the wall. Plus Shanny knew he was gone so I think it was a perfect storm for the team to just play out the string and head into the off-season. I agree that JG at least wont give up since he's trying to make his bones as a HC. That and a healthy RG are the reasons I think they double their win total. |

Week 1 Sun. Sep. 7 @ Houston Texans W-Texans have no QB
Week 2 Sun. Sep. 14 vs. Jacksonville JaguarsW-Jags are improved but see above about the QB Week 3 Sun. Sep. 21 @ Philadelphia EaglesL-It's great that D. Jax will be pumped but our defense isn't ready Week 4 Thu. Sep. 25 vs. New York GiantsW-Giants are going to be terrible on O Week 5 Mon Oct. 6 vs. Seattle SeahawksL-We will play them tough but lose Week 6 Sun. Oct. 12 @ Arizona Cardinals L-Cross country trip after a Monday night? Thanks NFL Week 7 Sun. Oct. 19 vs. Tennessee Titans W-Titans are going to be one bad football team. Week 8 Mon Oct. 27 @ Dallas Cowboys W-Their D will be as bad as their O is good Week 9 Sun. Nov. 2 @ Minnesota Vikings L-We get caught celebrating beating the Boys and looking ahead to the bye Week 10Bye Week Week 11 Sun Nov. 16 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers W-Bucs also have no QB Week 12 Sun Nov. 23 @ San Francisco 49ersL-The Niners are too damn good Week 13 Sun Nov. 30 @ Indianapolis Colts L-Luck will outperform RG3 Week 14 Sun Dec. 7 vs. St. Louis Rams W-Can we please stop talking about the RG3 trade now? Week 15 Sun Dec. 14 @ New York Giants W-Giants still gonna suck in December Week 16 Sat. Dec. 20 vs. Philadelphia Eagles L-This depends on who is healthier at this stage of the season. Week 17 Sun. Dec. 28 vs. Dallas CowboysW-Stephen Jones may be coaching by this point. On the poll I picked 5-8 but I think 9 wins is attainable if things fall right health wise and development (RG3, Keenan Robinson, Amerson) wise. I don't see this as a double digit loss team if all the key players are healthy. Can't wait until kickoff! |

Stating the only way we get better is with rg3 plays better is a little short sighted. Special teams, front 7, and the Oline need and will be better. I'm not going into the season thinking about the performance of the qb. |

On this team the QB is the straw that stirs the drink. Without him playing well they dont win much at all. |
