He'll rush for 79 a TD - pass for 211 and 2 TDs ... Sure, that's our defense |

I figured you'd be psyched to see him play. Maybe Locker will heal slowly. |

Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
Here it comes. Everyone thinks the Titans are a walk over and don't realize we are just as bad
Im basing my opinion on head to head against the Jags. We would beat the Jags 16 times if we played them every week. We are bad but not as bad. (As the Titans). |
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
i feel good if we don't abandon alfred and the running game.
i just realized he hasn't gone over 100 yards yet. we haven't given him more than 13 carries since the eagles game. feed him and everyone is better for it. |
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
If the Redskins lose this game, then the Redskins are officially (well non-officially, but still) sunk. However, I've written a nice twist to the storyline of this season. The Redskins somehow beat the Titans and go into Dallas with a 2-5 record. Robert Griffin III makes his comeback, and somehow is able to pull out a victory in Dallas. Suddenly, the Redskins are just two games below .500, on a two game winning streak, and suddenly they're 5-5 setting up a big game against the 49ers.
I don't expect the Redskins to beat the 49ers at that point, but I could see the Redskins being 8-8 if this is how it goes down in the next few weeks. They'll get swept by either the Giants or the Eagles - I'm pretty sure of that. But, they'll somehow pull off a victory against either the Colts of the Cowboys toward the end of the season. Things change dramatically when RGIII is playing - and playing his best. Of course this is probably the last gasp of optimism I could muster. 6-10 still looks more accurate than 8-8, and I fully expect the Redskins to lose games they shouldn't be losing. |

...and add on to the fact that Alfmo isn't performing like he used to. Helu has actually performed much better when given the opportunities. |
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
I'd love to see the Skins win, obviously. Heck, I'd love to just SEE them. I live just over the line in PA, so it get to see 8-12 games per year. If they play the same time on Fox as the Eagles play, then I get the Eagles game. Shitheads.
Hoping for good things this Sunday either way. |
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
I'd say the oline, scheme, and system is not clicking as well.
Im not about this third and long life with Rex part deux throwing picks |

Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
Like jamf said, Morris isn't a back you give the ball to 13 times a game. You have to pound the defense with him all game long, and you have to keep feeding him even when he's not getting 4-5 yards per carry. He'll wear the defense out and keep the chains moving, but only if you plan on sticking with him to the end. Gruden is too impatient. He sees Morris only getting 1-2 yards per carry early in the game, so he abandons him right away for the faster and more versatile Helu. Helu will get you those big plays every now and again, but Morris is much, much more effective if used correctly.
But I'm beginning to think Morris will never be the same with Gruden. Shanahan leaves, and suddenly Morris is "too slow", the line can't open holes, the running game gets abandoned, etc. Morris has the talent, but unless Gruden suddenly has an epiphany of sorts, he may never be used correctly. The hope I hang onto is that Griffin's presence really does help open up the running game. |

Morris had thirteen measly carries last game. Gruden doesn't know who butters his bread. That's the problem. |

You are kidding yourself. We've lost 13 of the last 14 games we've played. Do you know what that makes us? Losers! We also have a choking dog playing QB right now. Please try to come up with a better reason why we should be expected to beat any team at this point. (It's not like I'm disillusioned or anything like that.) |
