Re: Fletcher slams Haslett
Well I don't know how you can view him as an asshole if he is speaking the truth? To me it sounds like he is tried of how the players are to blame and he is showing you evidence why it's not their fault. And he is nothing kike McNabb...London has no ax to grind...he left on his own and would have retired earlier had the Skins not begged him to return.
I feel like Fletcher could end up the next McNabb. A guy who had a clean image as a player who outs himself as being an asshole now that he's in the media.
I think he is going to be a perfect example of why it is often a bad idea to like certain NFL players because of the great person they are/appear to be. |

Speaking the truth doesn't absolve someone of being an asshole. |

You can be honest but there is a fine line between being honest and being disrespectful. I think he crossed it. I think what he said was correct... He just said it in an extremely disrespectful way. He also came back for the money more than anything else in my opinion. |

The truth is self-evident and can seem ugly. Perhaps you want him to be more "constructive" in his criticism? |

What's wrong with being constructive, or simply more professional? Considering how Haz always had his back even when it was obvious he had no business being on the field, you would think a more constructive tone wouldn't have been too much to ask. |
Re: Fletcher slams Haslett
Jim is clueless. ...Jim is still around while all his former bosses are not...London saw Jim first hand and can speak on the matter. I think London has earned the right to speak freely and not be labeled an asshole.

He can speak all he wants, it's his opinion. And my opinion is he's an asshole for the way he went about it. |
Re: Fletcher slams Haslett
Opinion? Opinion is "a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge." The film doesn't lie neither does Jim's tenure.

Re: Fletcher slams Haslett
For me it feels like London had a very valid point, but expressed it in poor manner. I ain't no fan of Haslett either but there are better ways for Fletch to say how he feels.
Some serious low blows by Fletcher. I thought he was classier than that, apparently not.
Like I've said before, Fletcher is very fake as far as who he projects himself to be vs. who he is "Fletcher is all about football. And he's all about his teammates. And that's totally fine. But he's not this friendly, gregarious guy really. He's not like say the Shanahans (Mike and Kyle) when it comes to everyone else at Redskins Park-the cleaning staff, the secretaries, the scouts, etc. He's not happily saying good morning, asking them about their families, seeing if they need anything, etc. (He's not the other extreme-Vinny Cerrato-either). He's just I'm here to play football and that's it. He's not into small talk, he hates, hates all the media stuff. It's just not him. But he fakes it well." http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-locker-room/49575-redskins-vs-bucs-post-game-reaction-3.html#post948337 He took it too far today, especially in calling Haslett a backstabber and saying he throws others under the bus. And then going after his son. |
Re: Fletcher slams Haslett
London Fletcher is a bum. The last contract he got was a fleecing of the Redskins. Haslett stuck by him when he could barely stay on his own two feet, much less cover anyone. With that said,Haslett needs to go. In fact, I would not mind them firing him now and he can take his whole staff with him.

This clueless defense is probably what Orakpo meant when he said "What the hell are we doing out here?"

Re: Fletcher slams Haslett
Who cares what Fletcher says or thinks. Where was his mouth last year when the D had a lot of the same issues and he could have done something about it.
