Re: Filthydelphia Eagles Pre Game Thread
Philly has has many deficiencies as we do.

Re: Filthydelphia Eagles Pre Game Thread
Winnable game. I'd like our chances better if Reed is a go and Cravens (to keep Sproles in check) is a go. Two important playmakers on each side of the ball. Fingers crossed about that.
The Eagles can run and pass the ball. We haven't been able to stop anyone from running the ball and we are the worse in the league on third down. Our running game is joke and Kirk can't hit the deep ball to save his life. The Eagles defense has been decent over the first five weeks. There is a lot to be worried about.
There are also some encouraging signs my friend. While Kirk has missed some big play throws we expect him to make, he is still 6th overall in passing yards through the air and 6th in total passing yards. I tend to believe Kirk will start connecting on more long balls .. but he has hit some. He will get better. Quarterback Air Yards: 2016 NFL Season Also, did you know our defense has not given up a 2nd half touchdown for 3 games now? I didnt know that. Thats pretty good second half adjustment by our pinata boy Barry and Fewell and co. Of course that stat coincides with our 3 game win streak coming against 2 winning teams. Which is nice. A lil win streak in the first half of a season is always a welcome guest. Our 3rd down defense has to improve and I think they kept the Ravens to a conversion rate of 3/15 or something like that. Thats a start. Id like more of that please. |
Re: Filthydelphia Eagles Pre Game Thread
Would you guys say the Eagles have the worst WR corps that we've faced so far? I would. I know Wentz is looking promising, but I really think we have the firepower in our secondary to really limit their passing game.

Re: Filthydelphia Eagles Pre Game Thread
This concussion thing with Jordan Reed is really not good at all. It didn't even look like he took any bad hits last week and he got another one. Not sure when the time is for him to think about his long term health, but that time has to be coming soon.
We have some depth there. Good moves by the front office bringing in Davis and keeping Paul. If he can't go next man up! |

I think the Browns are the worst we will face all season. They basically had convert Terrelle Pryor and that was it. I think the Eagles have 2 promising young wide outs in Matthews and Agholor. There are high expectations for Agholor who has quickness and I could see being a pain in the ass for years to come. Ertz and Celek are decent targets. |
Re: Filthydelphia Eagles Pre Game Thread
and malcolm, i predict PAIN...i will be at the game, anyone else going. and good morning to you TMC

Re: Filthydelphia Eagles Pre Game Thread
I thought Pryor was better than those two combined. Basically every team has had elites (Bryant, Brown, Beckham) or very goods (Pryor, Cruz). I wouldn't put Matthews in that category. He has promise, but he hasn't shown he can dominate anyone.

Good morning sir, and you are correct. I forget this sometimes. I just think it's time for us to finally break the heart-attack and dominate someone's ass. I'm so superstitious that a friend pranked my by putting up a Giants magnet on my mailbox for the game. I said I'm leaving it up there for karma. We won, and I still haven't taken it down. |
Re: Filthydelphia Eagles Pre Game Thread
One area to gain an advantage.. eagles have lost one fumble all season, while we have been forcing them left and right with 10 on the year. If we win the turnover battle we have a good shot
|
Re: Filthydelphia Eagles Pre Game Thread
Their D is legit. We have to mix it up - run, run, 3rd and long won't cut it.

I did not know that. Nice stat plug. |
Re: Filthydelphia Eagles Pre Game Thread
Jordan reed not practicing today.
Looking kinda iffy for Sunday. |
Re: Filthydelphia Eagles Pre Game Thread
Sadly the blueprint to really hurt our D was exposed week one and never foxed IMO.... running between the tackles and the SCREEN game..... 2 things the eagles USE TO HELP THEIR rookie qb. Who we rarely beat by the way, rookie qbs, so, im not excited. I don't think we will outscheme them on EITHER side of the ball. And i think we might get whooped, or just fall short of a comeback but i dont expect the coaches AT ALL, to put us in a winning position this week. Sorry... cuz i HATE THE FUCKIN EAGLES MANNNNN - "THE DUDE"

Re: Filthydelphia Eagles Pre Game Thread
Luckily, their center and guards are just OK. I read that we started shifting some people around on the DL and it had some good success versus the starting lineup we had against Baltimore. I know Baker doesn't like NT, but they said he played a few snaps and was a BEAST. Ionnidis commanded some double teams too.
