Re: Top 10 reasons why the Skins will win 10 games this year
i wasn't particularly happy about the way the offseason went, although i was happy we didn't go on a spending spree. i just hope that everything works out eventually, and after a huge pro bowl season earning defensive mvp lavar realizes he loves washington and wants to stay here forever.
What WOULD you have liked to see happen this offseason? I'm just curious because besides the Coles situation, I think our offseason went great. |
Re: Top 10 reasons why the Skins will win 10 games this year
which is it HERMOSOBEACHSKINSFAN ?
win now with free agent picks or take some time and build through the draft ?
Wolfeskins, thanks for proving my point. Pick one and stick with it. But don't go Signing high profile free agents one year, and rebuiling the next, then to go and sign more high profile guys the year after. Personally, I say dump the old guys and go with the future. REGARDLESS, PICK A STRATEGY AND STICK WITH IT!!! |
Re: Top 10 reasons why the Skins will win 10 games this year
Dammit. I wish NOW we WOULD have signed has-been players this off-season. Joe Gibbs, you BASTARD.:Smoker:

It really pisses me off that a player can decide he wants to go somewhere else at the expense of the team. I think, if a player choses not to play, the team should be allowed to cut him and not pay him. And, they should be allowed to be forced out of the league until their contract is up. It bugs me, things like the Coles situation. Really allows players to be assholes. |
Re: Top 10 reasons why the Skins will win 10 games this year
yea, the coles situation kinda pissed me off too but oh well, life goes on . hopefully moss proves to be a great asset to the team.

Re: Top 10 reasons why the Skins will win 10 games this year
you will win 6 games tops. that is what i think. i mean you can atomatically count 2 loses against the cowboys. so you only need 8 more add the eagles and you only need 6. now this is my opinion so please don't delete this or ban me like i have seen other boards do, just prove to me why you will win more.

as far as the number of wins the skins will end up with ...........who knows ? the skins could take a step backwards, stay around the same as last year or take a step foward. personally, i think they will take a step foward. does that mean they'll win more games and make the playoffs ? no, it does not but what it does mean is that they will improve as a team. the offense will be more productive given the changes that will be made and the off season additions. spreading the formations, having speedier receivers, having a much improved offensive line, having ramsey instead of brunnel, changing the blocking schemes and having portis bulk up in muscle will all help the offense. as far as automatically assuming the cowroids are gonna win both games, the streak will end and hopefully it's this year. don't be so confident in your cowroids this year, they brought in some big named players but most of those players are on the downside of their careers especially mr. drew bledsoe. if the skins defense is as good as it was last year mr. bledsoe will have his playing days put to an end in weak 2. you will have a "lavar meets aikman" flashback. :dallas: |
Re: Top 10 reasons why the Skins will win 10 games this year
Here are a few reasons. Our schedule consists of the following teams:
Chicago San Fransisco Tampa Bay Denver Arizona If we can beat these teams, which in my opinion we should, that's 5 wins there. I think we have the ability to split games with Dallas and Philly and should sweep the Giants. (4 wins) Then we need to play well against one of the following: San Diego Oakland Seattle St. Louis Kansas City If we can pull out atleast one against these teams (probably seattle is our best bet), beat the 5 teams we should, and play well in our division we could win 10 and be in the playoffs. I think 10-6 in the NFC this season is golden and at minimum a Wild Card playoff berth. |
Re: Top 10 reasons why the Skins will win 10 games this year
ok,
i thikn you will lose twice to the Cowboys (when you sweep us, or at least win one game, i might give you guys a win) and eagles. you lose to the chargers, chiefs, cards, giants (once, i actually think if eli can make some strides they could go 7-8 or 8-8), rams, and the raiders. i think you beat the 49ers, bears, seahawks, giants, bucs, and broncos. i think even if ramsey struggles at first you should stick with him for a while because he has the talent to be a good starter. :dallas: i see you guys like us after all. :laughing- |
Re: Top 10 reasons why the Skins will win 10 games this year
Well, if the Cowboys do beat us twice this year, I wonder which other team the Cowboys will beat? I have them going 3-13 this year.

:dallas: i see you guys like us after all. :laughing-
you know, believe it or not , i actually do like the cowroids a bit better than the eagles. i've always pulled for the tuna and bledsoe to do well (before going to dallas) i think julius jones is gonna be one hell of a good rb. the eagles on the other hand, there's not one person that i can think of on their team that i have ever been a fan of. |
Re: Top 10 reasons why the Skins will win 10 games this year
only thing i kno julius has NOTHING on us 2.5 yards a carry against us, season low.

Re: Top 10 reasons why the Skins will win 10 games this year
In his hey day Gibbs was one of the best at making adjustments. It had been 11 years since he had been coaching, so I think he was just feeling out the league and seeing how his old schemes would work. The last couple of games he started to open things up, and he is showing the adaptability with the changes we hear that are being made to the offense. This man has won championships in the football and he went to Nascar and was again successful in a brand new sport. Joe is building a foundation of the right system, right players etc. He just needs time to undo years and years of poor and ineffective free agents and personnel moves the Redskins made after he left. I also think Jacobs will be a key in our WR corp. I also have a feeling Barrows is going to play a key role in the defense since he finally appears to be healthy.
