not true what mobile QB has won a a superbowl name even 1? look at brady .....i think u still lose abit with that mobilty....Ramsey can make throws that brunell simply cant make.... in fact his brain wont even let him consider them.... and for ramsey its a flip of the wrist... Name 1 pass over the middle longer than a slant that u have seen him throw in the last 5 weeks.... as high as that TD Ramsey threw was brunell could not have made it... i bet ya moss and the boys want Ramsey throwing that ball to him.... And as good as the offensive line is playing Ramsey would pick them apart .his release looked very crisp sunday.... and picking up on 3rd and 4th receivers...brunell might make 1 good run a game and a flip pass or 2 ..but how many open guys does he miss down field?????? cause he cant make a throw? maybe thats why he throws it away so much.. and Ramsey isnt exactly Lane...
Agreed!

The problem is whoever Gibbs deciedes to play the other QB is a waste, if Ramsey comes out and light's the world on fire it will be because he watched Brunell all season, not that he had the ability all along.

I also have to laugh at everyone hoping he really shines on sunday so we can trade him in the offseason, I don't get it? So if the guy proves he's a #1 QB we should trade him? Brunell will be another year older, which puts us 1 hit away from Campbell, whom we all know Gibbs doesn't like young QB's, when we have Ramsey at a very reasonable price for next season, I hope he doesn't go anywhere, but he may really force Gibbs hand, and I could see that happening after the season is over. I really don't know after what happened in the first game that theres a promise that Gibbs could make to keep Ramsey on board. Unfortunatly!

Personally I think when it's all said and done we will be in a similar situation to the chargers, Ramsey will win the job, and we will be shopping Campbell.

And we will have to pay threw the nose to keep Ramsey.
I'm not going to waste a lot of time trying to understand the cheerleading for Ramsey after an overthrown pass that Santana was able to pull down and finish with a TD. I think it is strange that many Redskins fans are more concerned with trivializing the QB situation rather than deal with the Eagles and our chances of sweeping another NFC rival. Don't be so quick to replace a QB who lead this team to an immpressive ass whipping of Dallas. Only Brunell could have pulled that off and he did. Just wait and see how fare Brunell can take us.
Beautifully phrased Sunra. Yo Ramsey Homers, coulda', woulda', shoulda', don't win games. I agree Patrick "may" be able to do these things. Brunell IS doing it. I am a REDSKIN fan, not a Brunell fan! I don't put ANY player above what is best for the TEAM. At this time, Brunell is what is best for the team. There is NOT ONE PERSON that has credentials in the NFL that would disagree with that. Why do you?

PS-mobil QB? John Elway, Steve Young, for just a couple

Hog, I would like to add to that list of mobile QBs, Terry Bradshaw himself.
And does anyone remember Kenny "The Snake" (the original snake!) Stabler?

Oh, you might want to add our own beloved Joey T. to that list too!!

Oh come on off of it Railcon. Like I've said before, you can't base a quarterback soley on his arm strength. You're making Ramsey out to be like he's Joe Montana and that he's never thrown an incomplete pass in his entire life. The fact of the matter is, Brunell has lead this team very nicely this year...and has helped to put us in a situation of being in the playoffs. Brunell makes better decisions than Patrick Ramsey at this point. That might change in the near future, but until that is fact, you go with Mark Brunell.

I would love to see where he would be right now if he would have had the chance to grow all season with this team...brunell has has all year and he has steadily declined.....

I'll give you Steve Young....

But how do you know he's making better decisions .when he hasent even played.... and the little bit he did play his arm looked strong .. and quick.....maybe leading the nfl in throwing the ball away and fumbling is a better decision....???? or maybe that wonderfully thrown TD last sat the the Giants Linebacker was a great decision.....

Or maybe the scramble for a first down, or the last minute shovel pass to Robert Royal for a first down, or the playaction pass to Moss for a TD, or the screen pass to Moss for a TD, etc......You can harp all you want, but would've could've should've doesn't win you games.

I'm not putting one player above the team like you're obviously doing. If Ramsey comes in and plays I'll root for him. I'm a Redskins fan first. Period. I root for this team....I'm not going to sit here and pick a player apart...ESPECIALLY since we're winning and having a great shot a making the playoffs and even winning the division.

So why continue to harp on Mark Brunell then? If you think Ramsey is the better quarterback (although right now I've seen nothing to suggest such...) then that's your opinion. But, why can't you support Brunell as the current starter instead of picking him apart? What is it about Mark Brunell that you dislike?

well i believe by saying that i hope he as an ALL WORLD DAY is supporting him.... i just never thought Patrick has gotten his fair shot....(not that there is anything I can do about it) Brunell was brought in ..i am loyal to the players that have been here for the bad times.. like Ramseyand Lavar ...now the team is better maybe i wanna see them get there chance not just throw them away.but if he plays i want him to do well..... If people can say how brunell is making better decisions i can say he's not...

Mark Brunell would have been brought in regardless if Patrick was the clear starter or not. Look back on history, you'll find that Gibbs loves his veterans, especially at quarterback. That has always been a key to the Redskins' success: depth and protection! In all honesty, both quarterbacks showed me nothing last year when they were battling for the starting position. Neither deserved the starting nod. Gibbs went with the veteran and it's paid off.

Neither Lavar nor Ramsey has been thrown away. Will they be cut this season? Who knows, but I'm pretty sure Gibbs and company will make the decisions best on what is best for the team..and that isn't always what we think is fair for the players. You can't argue with a coach who's won Super Bowls with three different quarterbacks.

You can say anything you want to about Brunell...nobody is saying you have no voice. However, I'm judging my thoughts based on what I have witnessed - not what I wished I could see. Therefore, based on fact, Mark Brunell has played very well for us this year and has made some great plays and great decisions. He hasnt' done anything that suggests to me that it is time to make a quarterback switch.

I keep hearing this from some people, but the numbers simply don't support it.

I'd love to hear a solid argument for once instead of someone using their gut feeling as a basis for fact.

Mark Brunell should have been selected to the Pro Bowl over Micheal Vick. Many experts have compared this year to Brunell's time in Jacksonville and rightfully so. Someone should put together a collage of highlights of his games this year and watch the unbelieveable passes he makes dispite the games we loss. The most memorable was his tight spiral passes against the Broncos in the cold rain to Cooley. What I respect the most about him is he rarely if ever call an audible. Rather he adjust to the blitz and makes the harder throws under pressure. Mark Brunell is the best option for a Superbowl ring under this Joe Gibbs era.
