Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
ARZ showed a lot of class not making Leinart wait.

only 1 hasn't been a bust (roy williams).
kevin jones hasnt been bad. one 1k yard season in 2 years, 30th overall pick |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
leinhart at #10 is a slam dunk, and denny's already got him weapons. two #1 WRs and hakim (good #3) could end up there by tomorrow.
now they just need an RB and some linemen. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
I would have taken Cutler before Hollywood...
espn has whitner ranked at #54, and the sporting news @49. a little bit of a reach, huh?
fanmonster (which takes the average from over 50 updated mocks daily) had him as the 22nd highest rated player. nfldraftscout has him as the 18th best player. they're more accurate predictors. |

shoot, i forgot about that. yeah they need D, but they have some good players that were just making youth mistakes last year too. rolle, wilson, dansby, berry (IR'd last year) can all be studs. they need 2 LBs a CB and another fast safety. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
Let's hope seattle's division got a little tougher. Can anyone say homefield advantage?

still a reach at #8. If they like him that much then trade down even if for just a second day pick and still save a butt load of money when they sign him (something that seems to be a major concern fof Buff). |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
Woo hooo!!!! Camp scrub no more!! And it only took me 13 monthes!

I don't know if class has anything to do with it but Dennis Green just made another steal of a pick. Too many people overthink things in the draft. The Texans definitely screwed up and I think the teams that needed a QB and passed up Leinart did as well. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
hollywood better hurry his interview up, hes shooting matrix 4 after this
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
best left:
cutler bunkley ngata winston j. williams wimbley |

broncos cutler... makes sense.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
It seems as if "No Mistake" Jake is on his way out of Denver.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
broncos...trade up to get cutler. great pick...damnit. wat did they give up exactly?
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
fvck it lets trade up and get Ngata

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
HaHa....Baltimore doesn't get thier star QB. And they were sooo close!
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

Gibbs said he would take the best player but would be hesitant to take a WR (because we r stocked). |

I know, it seems as if Mr.McNair will be in B'more next year, unless he decides to stay and help with Young, but he doesn't owe the Titans anything. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
The draft has taught a lot these so-called experts on the draft a valuable lesson. With all of the bullshit said about Vince Young and his questionable IQ and unorthodox style he went before any QB in the draft because he is the best QB in the draft. Leinhart and Cutler were the poster boys for the QB position and barely made the top 10 draft spots. It's a shame that so many of us listen to Mayock, Jaworski and the rest of these idiots who were sitting their trying to explain why the Jets, Raiders and Saints didn't go QB and how nobody predicted Leinhart to go to the Cardinals.
Time will tell if any of them amount to anything, but it just goes to show you that these idiots don't know anymore than you and I do. |

Not quite as good as an youngster. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
Man this sucks. I thought Leinart was going to fall to us. Jason who?
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
STL gets a very high 3rd and they'll get the DB they wanted anyways at a cheaper price... great move.

Whatever goes wrong in the draft is their fault...thats how I'm looking at it. If we don't get Thomas Howard I'm blaming them too. LOL |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
True. Leinart will manage the game well for ARZ and he's decent with the deep ball.
Actually I think Leinhart isn't that good on the deep ball. I think he has a good presence in the pocket but has Chad Pennington like speed on his release. It seems the ball takes forever to get to his receivers. The question is will Dennis Green utilize him in the same way that Carroll did.

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
I just hate this waiting. maybe they should change it to no more than 10 mins to pick..Never know though me might pull a quick one and make a trade with pitt or atleast someone late in the first round..hmm Deja Vu?

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
mcnair should stay with titans and help vince young along.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
That 15 spot has been held by 3 teams now. ATL DEN and STL
