First time this season where Cooley, Lloyd, and Randle El all caught passes on the same drive. Touchdown.

Re: 9/24/06: Redskins (0-2) at Texans (0-2)

Brunell is spreading the ball around. 5/5 all 5 completions to different recievers. That's the mark of a proficient offense.

Also, Carr is 4/5, and outside of the one big pass we havent been hurt.

I don't know if anyone is listening to the radio broadcast, but I find it pretty funny that Sonny and the crew are mocking the Texans for not being able to get a decent play off. We get up by a measly 7 points and get all cocky...

Was that Montgomery's first NFL tackle?

I like this DT rotation we have.

Another 3rd down.

We're doing much, much better on 3rd downs today on both sides of the ball.
This is a serious question, not reteorical. At this moment in time (post TD), who would be happier if Campbell was playing?
I would.

The Texans are going to start camping in the flat soon. I hope we come up with another play.
brunell rushing the throw again
Did he get blitzed? Jurgensen says Portis SHOULD have had the first.

he had a lot more time to throw
he had a lot more time to throw
OK, but why go through the rest of the progression against a blitz if your first read can get the first down. Get rid of the ball quickly, I say.

I like the playcalling here so far. I really hope they go for the first down here instead of running it.

Longtimefan 09-24-2006 02:09 PM

Re: 9/24/06: Redskins (0-2) at Texans (0-2)

Looks like the game plan is to protect Brunell from any critics this week by having him throw all those short passes. He hasn't thrown the ball ten yards today.

Then you must have forgotten Cooley running over defenders last season.
