Sure alot of things have to happen for us to get in, and yes we have only played one good game, but the big difference for me has been Jason Campbell. It seems like he has re-energized this team, there all rallying around him. Even though we lost Portis, we still have a pretty good lot of Rbs in Betts,Duckett,Cartwright and even Sellers is getting in on the act. We still have Cooley,Moss,Lloyd,Randle El and a pretty good offensive line that hasnt really given up that many sacks. The weak spot has been Defense, mainly the Dbackfield, but with one substitution(Vernon Fox) we could see a big change in the way this D played, he really helped Sean Taylor in a big way, and boy how much better is Kenny Wright at nickleback?
I think we have a much better chance than alot of people on here think, and honestly I think its due to one major sub(Jason Campbell) and one under the radar sub(Vernon Fox), but lets win the next one and then we call all talk about playoffs.

best possible record 9-7 3 -3 division record and 7 -5 conferance

the giants are 6 - 5 they only need to win 3 out of the last 5 to have the same record and even if they lose to dallas and Philly the second being really hard to do they will end with a 3 -3 division record but they're 5 -2 at the conferance

San Francisco, St Louis, Atlanta, Minnesota are all 5 -6, Carolina is 6- 5 but they all need to win 4 out of 5 to make it (carolina has to doit because you have a 1/2 game lead).

That's 5 other teams that can take 1 of those 2 final spots and all of them have a better conferance record that you guys

And all of your final 5 games are against NFC teams fighting for 1 of those 2 wild card spots now that's tough including 2 divisional games and youi have zero percent margin of error

Sorry I don't see it be Glad Campbell has promise for next year

I think our only chance will be tied with a team or teams that we have beaten. We will take it in the 1st tiebreaker "head to head", and throw div and conf records out the window. We do play a few teams that are in the wildcard chase yet. Just cant get tied with Minn Tampa etc..

I agree with you that St L and Atlanta would be out of the eccuation I put them there because they as well as the otehr 3 opponets are all competing for 1 of the 2 wild card games that means that this 5 games will be relly tough because they all got something to fight for the other is that you have to win every game.

the giants wont win 3 games out of 5, they are terrible right now. san fran who knows, st louis is inconsistant and we play them head to head, samewith atlanta, and minnesota is inconsistant. carolina will grab a playoff spot, the last one is up in the air, but at this point i dont see it being the giants, falcons, or rams

my predicted finishes based on scheduels of each of those teams (not going to include the skins)

[B]giants[/B]- (7-9) (6-6 conf) (4-2 div)- look at their scheduel to end the season. dallas, @carolina, philly (their win), new orleans, and @skins. they will be lucky to go 8-8 unless they have a big turnaround

[B]eagles[/B]- (6-10) going nowhere without mcnabb, also a tough scheduel

[B]falcons [/B]- (7-9) also in disaray

[B]Vikings[/B]- (7-9) just not that great of a team, inconsistant. medium level scheduel but must play the bears, jets, and @green bay

[B]49ers[/B]- (7-9) inconsistant, tricky scheduel @saints, @seattle, @denver

[B]Rams[/B]- (8-8) easiest scheduel of the teams, only real tough team is chicago

by my predictions 8-8 will get to playoffs. i guess the giants are the real wildcard, the most talented team here but also have the worst chemistry and have serious issues

I haven't done all the numbers, but IF we win out, we'll be 9-7 w/tiebreakers head to head over Carolina, NO, & St.Louis. That's not bad. We'd lose a tiebreaker to Minn. but I don't see them in it. What will likely hurt us is tiebrakers w/in the div. My hope is that dallas somehow flails to 9-7 & we win the tiebreaker over them due to better div. record.

the only thing that scares me is this weeks game against NY they are comming of 3 game lsoing streak you don't want to face a team who's season is on the line on the most important game of the season.

If we lose we're tied and they hold the division lead which will make it harder to take the division if we win this week i have no doubt we'll take the division.
