I AX you........that ain't right???
The rules when eating out with your kids: 1) If you've got a baby (can't talk yet) then make sure you stay at places like Applebees or TGI Fridays. Babies don't belong in nice restaurants. They can scream all they want in an Applebees, if people don't like it there they can go to hell. You pay for what you get. 2) If they're toddlers or older: - No getting up from the table (nothing is worse than when parents let their kids play around the table or, God forbid, run around) - No turning around and staring at other customers. - No whining of any kind. - No fighting with siblings. - No throwing food. - Sit your butt in the chair with legs under the table, and quietly eat your food. Rule number 2 applies anywhere, whether you're in McDonalds' or a four-star restaurant. The parents must have a trump card up their sleeve to make the kids behave, ie no triple chocolate snickers cake for dessert if you don't behave. |

LOL Just order an extra glass of wine, tell the waiter to put it in this sippy cup, and tell the little tyke it's grape juice. |
Re: What's your pet peeve?
Haha, I hate this one too. I was out to dinner one night with my wife, and we were congregating around the hostess area waiting to be seated. And this guy standing next to me had one of those things on and he was talking on the phone to somebody, pretty loudly too. And since my wife and I were basically stuck right there while we were waiting for our table, we were basically a captive audience. So I tried to ignore it, but it got to be too much.
I pretended like I didn't know he was on the phone, and I started having the conversation with him. He said to the person on the other end of the line, "So did you go out last night or did you just hang in?" I said in full voice, "Oh, hey, how's it goin. Well I was going to go out, but I ate chinese for dinner and I was dealing with some gas, so I decided I'd just hang in." He shot a look and ignored me. He then said to the person on the other end of the line, "Oh that sucks." Which jived perfectly with what I had said to him. So I said "Yeah, see but I should know better. Chinese food always does that to me, but I still order it. That's kind of what I get." He gets annoyed, turns to me and says "dude I'm on the phone, I'm not talking to you. I don't want to hear your problems." So I said "OK good, because nobody here wants to be a part of your phone conversation either. Maybe you should take it outside or hang up." Then the hostess called me and my wife for our table, and I got to make a dramatic exit.
Schneed10 scores more points with the Frplg. |

Re: What's your pet peeve?
Schneed that's probably the best story I've ever heard on Warpath.
My Pet Peeves: People that sort of copy your screen name. Remember 12thMan from New Jersey or some shit? Pissed me off, do something different! People that say, I know this is a stupid question....then they proceed to ask anyway. Or better yet, I hate it when the moron answering the stupid question responds, there are no stupid questions. Why don't you two just get married! Guys that wear those dirty ass white sweat socks with open toe sandals - I'm really sorry if that's you and we're cool. Please don't hold it against 12th. I hate bad ass kids, especially in public. I f**ing hate "timeout". If anything, little Johny needs a *two minute warning. If you keep this shit up little Johny, I'm beating your little ass in two minutes! |
Re: What's your pet peeve?
Oh, one more thing. And maybe this isn't a pet peeve so much, but I'll say it anyway.
Some of you f**kers that secretly visit Warpath then run back to Extremes and think they're better. We'll were better - now! For the record, Warpath is the shit! So take your spineless ass back to Extreme(s). Okay, I'm done:) |

When I grew up, the rules in my house (and now, with my kids):
1) No restaurant until we were of an age to not bother other patrons. 2) never, Never, NEVER, embarass parents in publc. 3) None, if you failed on #2, nothing else matters. |

On a similar note, I hate it when people ask for my help with something and then argue with me over my suggestions. I also hate it when people "volunteer" me for things that I never said I would do. I can't tell you how many times I've had to help family members move furniture because my parents told them I would without talking to me first. |

Re: What's your pet peeve?
Cell phones drive me crazy. So when did guys start chating on phones like to 16 year old girls? Or someone who talks on their phone while trying to check out at a store. Talking on the cell phone when they come into my office for business then sit at my desk while chatting on their phone. Was out to dinner the other night and the dad, mom, and daughter all talked on their phone behind us the whole time they were eating. Who is everyone talking too?

Another pet peeve, the one guy who messes up our hard ass picture at the Jack Daniels Distillery. Yes, I just had to say that because it was like a pilgrimage I went on this weekend to the Promised Land.

In those days, he probably had already fathered 4 sons and 2 daughters. |
Re: What's your pet peeve?
Honestly, I saw many sluts walking around Bar Knoxville this weekend looking strikingly similar to that. That club is cool, but it was also full of "pros" meaning girls who are under 21 trying to get you to buy them drinks by rubbing their ample breasts up on you.

Yes, except you can see how short he was. It wouldn't have mattered though, he could just say he invented the best whiskey in the world. The entire town smells like it. |
