Yeah, I lived in DC my whole life, and when I came to Gainesville, Florida I was SHOCKED. Great, GREAT stuff.
It mixes well with all the national titles. :D

I know what you mean. I lived in Boston for 22 years til moving out here...been here 10 years, and we have some good shit too, but not as good as Florida.
There is a main drug artery that runs right though here on it's way to Denver from Mexico. Sadly this town is into Meth. A lot of them are. I've never done that crap, and never will. Just weed.

I personally don't do much of anything except green. I think it is waaaay less harmful than alcohol. Meth is a big problem in Florida. It is beyond me how anyone could do that crap. But it is an issue around here nonetheless. It's disgusting. As I said, I move back to DC in July, and look forward to getting away from this state. I LOVE my Gators, but everything else will not be missed. Can't wait to use my Dad's season tix....

I wasn't much for the northern, or eastern part of florida...but man do I love the southwest parts of florida. From Tampa down is great. My best bud since I was 4 lives in Fort myers, and I travel there at LEAST twice a year.

HA!! I 1000% percent agree!! My folks have a place on the water in Siesta Key (which is just south of Sarasota). The Southwest part of florida, gulf coast, is THE ONLY spot in this state where I could live for an extended period of time. It's amazing. The beaches are priceless, and the atmosphere is so chill

I've been there...it's beautiful. I have a cousin that lives in Port Charlotte, another one that lives in Sarasota, and my aunt lives in Bradenton. (and a friend in Lakewood) I tried to move there over the winter, but had a lot of hassels with transferring. It was annoying. Then I tried just a straight move and no one wants to hire someone that lives out of the state.

Siesta Key beach is amazing. I move back to DC in July with my girlfriend (she's going to George Mason for her Master's Degree), and we get one more trip down there in a few weeks. I can't wait. That beach is consistently ranked as one of the most pristine in the world, no lie.

I know it does...that's a great place to be. I'm envious.

I actually just switched careers.
I worked for Wells Fargo for years (I have an MBA in Finance) and realized I wasn't really going anywhere and was very underpaid. So I went to work for Chili's Restaurant. I loved the people, but my boss seriously ranked as one of the worst EVER, and the fact that I worked a minimum of 70+ hours a week, and the hours were extremely inconsistant, I lived to work. After 2 years, that was enough for me so I put my notice in and that ended about 2 weeks ago. I start my new job on the 1st. I am the GM of Alltel here in town. I'll make roughly 15k more a year, more vacation time and more holidays, and work only 40-45 hours a week while working a normal 8-5 M-F. It was a no brainer. So I'm chillin til tuesday.

What about you?

Yo let's move this discussion to the "talk about anything cuz your up late" thread. This has nothing to do with Ramsey anymore...

Patrick Ramsey was and is the BEST 12th man for a defense. Only the Skins would burn a 1st round pick on a 7th round career.

Nah...there are some other teams.
Just goes to show you that Spurrier killed us. He wasn't a good NFL player and he was even worse as a coach. I admit, I drank his cool-aid, but that might be the worst tenure in Skins history.

Even the mention of S.S. makes me vomit although I miss seeing that caped S.S. fan in the stands. I think the past 7 years have been the worst in Skins History. Constant illogical changes (every year is new staff and systems), big payouts, cap hits and penalties, horrible FA signings b/c of their name rather than current capability, horrible record, and worse of all we have an owner gaining momentum being a BUSINESS man rather than an owner.

Dont ever let Tom Cruise curse our season again.

Re: Self-Imposed Ban on Ramsey Threads

Looking back I don't hate the selection of Ramsey. Remember we traded down twice to take him and his selection at #32 certainly made sense and wasn't a reach. He didn't work out... shit happens. There were certainly bigger blunders in that draft. Ask Houston or Detroit how their QB picks worked out.

Ah now come on guys, sure Patrick has gone down hill, but who knows what would have transpired if Gibbs hadn't benched him in 2004? What if he actually got us into the Wildcard that year, etc I think it might have worked out differently if he had started '04 the entire season. Spurrier shell shocked him with trying to bring the fun n gun to the NFL then Gibbs just screwed him over.

You must be talking about 91. He had decent numbers in 89 and great numbers in 91. Other than that, his career was not very good.

Re: Self-Imposed Ban on Ramsey Threads

Who can forget December 29, 2002 when Ramsey completed 19 passes (including the 2 completions to the defense) on just 31 attempts for over 200 yards and a deceptively ordinary QB rating of 49.0 to defeat the Dallas Cowboys 20-14?
