So as for muslims in particular? They need salvation just as much as any other false religion, Are they the most hostile religion? Yes, not all are as hostile or extreme as what we see on the news everyday, but you sure don't see other muslims coming out against these extremists keeping their house in order per say.
If you were born a Muslim do you think you would consider converting to Christianity? What would the chance of that ever happening?

The biggest problems with Islam is that it has self serving and delusional SOBs in positions of "authority." If you speak up you're in danger. Let's also not forget who runs Muslim states. F'ing despots who could careless about the people. Muslims around the world are in bondage. In essence they are in their dark ages and their is no end insight because, lets be frank, there isn't one western state that isn't benefiting from their lack of progress and power (military, monetarily, and intellectually). We'll just have wait and hope they work the poison out of their system on their own but for that to happen we have to make sure we don't add fuel to the fire.

Fortunately for the entire world most Muslims aren't as extreme as some people would like us to think. Could you imagine what the world would be like if all Muslims were extreme and well armed?

I use to like Falwell but since I saw the light just two days ago, I realize that he was in the forefront of opressing women. If it were up to him there would probably be no women sportswriters, no women golfers, and no women moderators of web discussion boards. Can you imagine a Fan Forum run by all men? I think the living would envy the dead. Except for Falwell. I can't envy him because he was sexist like I use to be. If only he could have visited The Warpath, he might have seen the light as well. I have to go now. I've been invited to be the guest speaker at a lesbian macrame seninar and I need to get my head together.

But before I do, I would like to address one thing. Someone in another thread said I was being witty, which implied that somehow the new views I was expressing were not sincere. Nothing could be further from the truth. My conversion was real. As real as that lesbian macrame group that has invited me to speak. Love, Peace, and Axel Grease

As a whole I seriously doubt they will ever change, but God can change the heart of any individual he pleases, but converting to christianity and actually becoming a christian [and when I say becoming a christian I do mean an individual in whom God has truly saved, in whom he has changed his heart, not someone who decieded to put a label on himself, or join a church like a child joining the cub scouts], are two entirely different circumstances. So yes I believe a muslim can be saved no different than any other individual.

Well God has kept a lid on them at least on a major scale, but the more we kick God out of this country the more we lose his clock of protection.

As for working out the poison in their system? Islam is the poison!

Well if you read anything I have wrote it's pretty obvious, there is only one way to treat any poison and that is God, period!

Any false religion is a poison as spoken of in the bible.

Psalms, psalm 58-"1": Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

"2": Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

"3": The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

"4": Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;

"5": Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

Deuteronomy, chapter 32-"32": For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:

"33": Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

God uses the term poison to emphisize a false gospel.

The fact that you are speechless is laughable, aren't you the one who said they need to work the poison out of their system? So I really have to ask what poison were you refering to? And where does it stem from?

As for God in the schools? That wasen't what the letter was about, it was about God getting the blame from individuals who want nothing to do with him.

Offiss, I think you've laid out some very solid and scriptural basis to back up God's plan of salvation and the literal place called Hell and the place called Heaven. And I have no doubt that you could also bring about a good handful of scriptures to further your point about Muslims. However, I think this is where the Law of Love, which is the highest commandment of all, should not only be held in consideration but application.

I think to use scripture, and we may certainly disagree here, to engage in a such a debate may border along the lines of error.

Poison as venomous individuals who preach hate and extremism (individuals like Falwell). Poison as in the despots who sit on thrones of these Islamic states. Poison as in ignorance. This poison comes from individuals, some of whom use religion as a cloak.

While I am not defending Muslim beliefs what I gathered from your statement is that Islam is somehow poisonous religion because it is a false and that Christianity is somehow superior. I find that a ludicrous proposition when you look at the history of Christianity itself.
Why should the bible be the end all authority on religion?

DING DING DING DING.

SBF, fact is you have no actual basis for saying you're right. When it comes down to it you have absolutely no clue if your beliefs are accurate. No one does. This isn't a dig on you, or other Christians out there. It's your right for you to believe what you like, but for you to sit there and try to tell me you're 100% right is ignorant. You have no way to back that up, as we always say “post a link.” I’m sure you can think of multiple bible versus that you can quote to that, where I can also grab plenty from the Koran and other holy scriptures that say the same type of thing. I simply hate people that try to push religion on me or someone that uses their religion to backup everything they do and say.

As far as what I said in the other thread, I stick by it still. If you don't like what someone says, why can't you ignore it SBF? I find people that I disagree with on a regular basis, but if I asked for their posts to be deleted there would be at least 4 less members here (and in case you're wondering, you're not included!). Why can't you just say "I disagree and here's how I feel." Whining gets old to me, especially someone who I believe (may be wrong and search has a 90 second cooldown and I misspelled your name) you've referred to the whining of liberals/etc on multiple occasions, but I know I’m not alone in finding many of your off-topic posts whining about something or someone.

Calm down some, realize the only person you can control and understand is yourself and relax. Here’s a verse from GZA that I think is something we all forget:
calling on his name and screaming alleluia
when he hardly knew ya
that's how the devil fooled ya
see look into my eyes breverand
that's the lies of a reverend
why should you die to go to heaven
the earth is already in space
the bible I embrace

That’s a song based on him finding religion (The GZA – Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, or BIBLE) However, he makes a great point. People forget to live their lives sometimes.

I guess the main gist of my post is to say this: let some things slide. In this world no one knows who’s right or wrong, and like nearly everything else it’s grey area. There are few things that are black and white when it comes to making decisions.

Just assume you died, and found out you were following the wrong religion, that say the Koran was the correct book, do you feel that you should be condemned to an eternity of hell[or equivalent] because you made the wrong choice without the facts on Earth? This is just a hypothetical question, I’m very curious to see how you answer it.

Re: Group Coerced Censorship
very good question
People have the idea that people embrace Christianity for purely selfish reasons. That is to get into Heaven. To have after-life insurance. There are plenty like that to be sure, but there are also many who were living in Hell on Earth before they found Jesus and follow Him for quite practical, down to earth reasons. Life is better than it was before. So, if I die and there is nothing I still will have been better off and if the Muslims are right I would rather be cast into outer darkness than spend eternity with a gloating Bin-Ladin.

It's a waste of time to engage religion on the level of reason. It is by nature unreasonable. It passes understanding. It is a gut-level experience which places it beyond the reach of many. I'm afraid I'm turining into a Calvinist.

One last thing on this Angry. This is a really weak take. It is not up to nonbelievers to prove that God doesn't exist, anymore than it is incumbent upon you to prove that I am not God, or that my neighbor can't fly, or that Venus is not made of silver, or any other infinite possibilities. What science does is look at observable evidence and try to come up with the best possible explanation based upon that. It doesn't purport to "prove" anything, only construct the best story. Often science is incorrect, but it will always be superior to religion as a method of interpreting reality because it requires no leap in judgment or suspension of rationality, and because it offers the simplest most logical explanation based upon observation and consensus.

Please reference 70 chip's post which I think makes a great point. Religion is a personal phenomenon that exists beyond reason. Gut level is what it is, I believe he says. If you are moved to believe in it that is fine, but if you try to invoke the language of science to argue that it is an equally plausible explanation for our reality, you will fail.

Finally, people often say that certain things are only "theories" and act as if they have made a good point, when they have not. In science something begins as a hypothesis. Once this hypothesis has been sufficiently investigated, and the majority of other scientists have accepted its conclusions, it becomes a theory, which means that it is accepted as the best possible explanation available. Even when the proof of such a theory becomes overwhelming, it will always be a theory. It is the strongest support the scientific community can bestow upon an argument. So again, believe in religion if you will, that's fine, but don't call something a theory and act as if that is an indictment of its believed veracity, because the opposite is true.

Open-mindedness is the best possible way to approach the theory of evolution, but that would require one to be willing to potentially reject an incomplete theory. By all means correct me if I'm wrong Daseal, but what makes Angry's assumption that evolution is false any less awful that your assumption that the bible was fabricated?
It's not about anything being awful, it's about what's true. Moreover, it's not enough to argue that a theory is incomplete, you must also proffer a better explanation based on observable evidence, which no one has been able to do to the satisfaction of the scientific community. This is what so many religious people just don't understand: pointing out flaws in evolutionary theory without offering a better theory based on scientific standards constitutes an incomplete argument.

If you want to believe in religion fine, but don't act like it's equally plausible based on testable scientific observation because it's not.

Gtripp: I believe in evolution, those are my beliefs. It makes sense to me and is based in science. However, I don't feel like I'm on here saying: My beliefs are infallible and if you don't believe them you're stupid and going to hell. People will believe what they will and that is 100% their choice. However, I can't understand how anyone can say I'm 100% right when there is little to no evidence to support their argument.
