I was wrong not to go to the Buffalo game because I feared that we would lose in the last minute and break my heart.

We did lose in the last minute. It did break my heart. But I was still wrong.

I was wrong for checking out my nieces picture of Miley Cyrus in knee high socks. I'm going to hell for that one.

Re: I Was Wrong When...

I was wrong about Collins. I figured he was Saunders' errand boy. I saw him live on Sunday and he's the real deal. He's the best QB we've had here since 1998. Of course he would have to already be 900 years old when we find that out.

I was wrong about Andre Collins not being able to stop the run. He has shown in the last month that he can hold his own quite nicely.

I slammed Gregg Williams after the second Eagles game. I was wrong. He is a defensive genius!

I was wrong when we were 5-7 and I said we didn't have a snowballs chance in hell to make the playoffs. I also said I doubted Gibbs would come back in 2008. Ooops. Two things I am glad I was wrong about.

Oh, I also said Andre Carter may be a good pass rusher but he won't ever be good against the run. Again, another thing I'm glad I was wrong about. He's been stout against the run and pass this year....

When he got off to a slow start last year, I bunched him with Archuleta and Lloyd as FA busts. The guy plays with incredible effort on every play. His pass rushing improvement could be expected, but Carter has been great against the run this year too, with numerous tackles for losses.

Indeed he did.

He deserves all the good-natured ribbing that's coming his way. He should have learned from the Offiss School of Gloating "Well, I didn't actually post it here but as I was shaving this morning I said to myself Wouldn't it be something if Chris Wilson got a sack, even two, today. If I could create some sort of device that will grant you all the pleasure of reading my mind you would be in awe of my football knowledge." It's foolproof, can't be challenged!

Oh I forgot, we're winning now so he has nothing to say.

I was wrong when I didn't think Rocky McIntosh would amount to something other than an average LB

I was wrong thinking the Skins were going to tank after the ST tragedy.

I was wrong when I said Tim Rattay would be a better quarterback in 2007 than Todd Collins. I mean, seriously, what the hell was I thinking?

Re: I Was Wrong When...

I was wrong for ever doubting this team... but that went away quickly after I went to the Bears game with my Dad and told him we had just eliminated the Bears and how the Skins just needed to win the next 3 games and they would be in.

I was wrong for not wearing my newly acquired Campbell jersey for the opening drive against Dallas, cause ever since I bought that jersey and been wearing it, along with my Skins sideline hat they have been winning.Once I put it on they started to play better.

I will have it on well before the start of the Seattle game.

Re: I Was Wrong When...

Thought it was about time to give this thread a bump.

A lot of times here you see people referring back to times they were grilled by the rest of the forum but are now looking for credit for something they predicted or opined, nothing wrong with patting yourself on the back sometimes, but you rarely see someone say hey you know what, I was wrong about this.

So... I was wrong when I thought McNabb would make a smooth transition to this system. I also thought we would have a better running game to support him. I also didn't think the defense was going to be so god-awful this year.

Anything you care to admit to being wrong on?

I was wrong when I said the 3-4 was a good idea

saden1 12-14-2010 11:49 AM

Re: I Was Wrong When...

The Redskins are who I thought they were. They are mediocre team with mediocre talent and a lot less heart and will than teams with lesser talent. I predicted they would be 7-9 so I might be wrong about that.

Being out off playoff contention is kinda liberating...like I'm free from the cage the Redskins put me in for 3 months. I'm out on bail until next year.

I was wrong on:

- Brandon Banks durability and ball security. Good to see the young man be successful.

- I bought in on the SF wininng the NFC West pre-season hype.

Ouch. BIG ouch.

Here's all Redskins with #92. Choose a new nameplate. D. Evans is probably the best...but a Dexter Nottage could be cool. You'd have the only one outside of his mother probably.

SF has all the tie-breakers and they have the best chance of winning the NFC West!! If they win out they win...if they win 2 of 3 and are tied with the rams and the hawks at 7-9 they win.
