Re: Congrats to our fellow NFC East team- The Giants
That was a hell of a game. I was out at a bar watching with mostly Giants fans and the place was going crazy when they won. We can only hope the Super Bowl will be half as exciting as that game was.

Its only gonna be dull if the entire game is just the Pats bending over the Giants. I might actually tune in. |
Re: Congrats to our fellow NFC East team- The Giants
It makes me absolutely sick to see the Giants in the Super Bowl, but at least we won't have to put up with the Brett Favre love fest for the next two weeks (I like that about as much as hearing anything flattering about the Cowboys). I would be shocked to see the Giants keep within two touchdowns of the Patriots, though. I see the Patriots winning big, kinda like the the 49ers did to the Broncos many moons ago!
...................big,you mean like Tampa, the Cowboys and the Packers all did win big over the Giants. |

Like the first game.38-35.:yeahright:bs: |
Re: Congrats to our fellow NFC East team- The Giants
The difference between this game and the first one is, first its on neutral ground. Second you got a HOF QB that has been there 3 times vs. a QB who was barely a legit QB before the playoffs started. And most important the fact that new england has belichick and New york has coughlin. Give Belichick 1 week to play a team and he will go 18-0. Give Belichick two weeks to figure a team out and he will destroy the other team. The fact that these two team have played before is going to benifit the better coach and that is another plus to the Pats. For all we know they had camaras on that sideline.
So i don't think it is completely unfair that people feel this game is going to be boring and a blowout. I don't necessarily think it will be but it is completely understandable that people will think that and it is for good reason. I'm just hoping for a game as good as their first matchup just because it'll be fun to watch. The giants have been surprising every team they have played in the past 3 weeks and even against new england the week before. Lets hope for the sake of the game that they continue their little streak. However i wouldn't mind both the QBs playing horrible games because i dislike them both. |
Re: Congrats to our fellow NFC East team- The Giants
I think we can congartulate the Giants for going to the SB, but I really think it could be a great game. The Giants are playing good football right now and could be able to put the pats in trouble.

Re: Congrats to our fellow NFC East team- The Giants
I absolutely want the Giants to win. I hate Barber and Shockey and would really like to see Eli win without them after the crap they say about him. I almost wish the game was on NBC so Barber would have to sit there and the crap he said about Coughlin, Eli and his former team.

The 2 week layoff is definitely in Belichick's favor. I'd like to think this could be a close game but I'm feeling a blowout in the works. |

They also have a very long winning streak away from Giants Stadium. Eli to me looked amazing against the Packers. Coughlin will pound w/ Jacobs and then the little Dave Megget is dangerous as hell. Plax beat the shit out of Al Harris but Pats will double him. Toomer and the rest need to step up. Gmen have the best defensive line in the game today. What's the point spread?? |

Megget retired a little while ago. Bradshaw maybe? |
Re: Congrats to our fellow NFC East team- The Giants
How can any of us root for the Giants? Teams that lose in the Superbowl are historically crappy the following year. We face them twice a year, and I would rather have them decline next year than come into the season brimming with confidence having ended the Pats win streak.
And as for the beating the Pats put to us, sure it was classless and pissed me off at the time. On the other hand, I would like to see the Redskins squeeze the crap out of an opponent like the Pats have done repeatedly this season, and you have to admire the efficiency with which they do it. |
Re: Congrats to our fellow NFC East team- The Giants
The thing is that I hate the Giants and I don't want to see them win for a few reasons: they are an NFC east team, a SB win will solidify Eli as a QB and unite their house, that will put them at 3 Lombardi trophies (tied with the skins) and for selfish/petty reasons I don't want to see that happen, and finally cuz i have friends who are Giants fans who will be intolerable in the event that they win.
But I gotta say my momentary hatred of the Pats prevents me from rooting for them either. They are the new evil empire and it really really eats at me that Belichek and that ass clown Tom Brady are gonna get football's top, most desirable record, the perfect season. They will be solidified in history as the best team and I really don't want to see that happen, cuz I can't shake the feeling that they just don't deserve it. I think i might just go on a self-destructive binge-drinking bender so that come game time I will be incoherent and oblivious to reality, thus preventing me from supporting one team over another. |
Re: Congrats to our fellow NFC East team- The Giants
Credit where credit is due.
In Week 3 the Packers went into the Meadowlands and destroyed the G-Men. Then the G-Men go to Lambeau and beat the Pack on thier home turf in the playoffs. The Cowboys swept the regular season, and the Giants on the road again come into Texas Stadium and beat their division rival when it counted most....the post season. All credit goes to the players of the Giants. They certainly took the tough road to Phoenix, all road games, but they earned that right to represent the NFC. Congrats. Now if there was only a way where BOTH teams lose, I would sleep better. |

You do realize there was football before the Super Bowl don't you? |
Re: Congrats to our fellow NFC East team- The Giants
Even being a diehard Skins fan, I applaude you Giantone. My bro is a die hard Giants fan and i grew up with many fist fights on sundays especially the game that was a tie back in the 90's. Best of luck against the Best team ever. You guys played them well for 3 quarters. Just play them for 4 and there may be a chance. Good luck.
