Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
And what is Eli Stone? This show looks terrible.

Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
Yea, ok well that makes sense.
I think Ben's source on the ship is Michael. And that is the last person I guess the people thought they would see.
It's definitely Michael. We talked about it earlier in this thread. Plus you can tell from the afro in the final shot tonight |

I think its pretty good |
Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
Remember that episode (I think it was two seasons ago) when Ana Lucia suspects one of the survivors is lying about having been on the plane and she kills him? I think that was Goodwin. I think it was the season opener.
No doubt. And we saw tonight how Ben brings Juliet back to Goodwin's corpse to rub his power in her face. How they keep letting Ben deceive them over and over and over again is getting kind of old. Jack and Locke and Co. are so smart, yet they cannot help but get suckered repeatedly by Ben. It's annoying at this point. The backstory tonight with Goodwin's wife was interesting. They've set up two new plotlines in consecutive weeks that have me curious if nothing else. |
Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
Just kill Ben, it wouldn't be a story then but I guess Ben has the power to keep the island from getting to Penelope's dad.
|
Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
I still don't get how Widmore even knows about the island. I mean Ben made it sound like Widmore knew that Locke crashed there, was in a wheelchair and is now walking.
|
Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
Maybe with some kind of connection with Des?

SS!!! Ben is working his Jedi mind shit on you too!! Ben wants Locke to THINK Widmore knows about the island! What do we know? We know Ben has lied about pretty much everything. He's eerily deceptive and manipulative. We know Ben showed Locke a video that could be interpreted a hundred different ways. Some dude gets pulled out of a car and beaten up by Widmore. And? To assume Ben isn't totally full of shit is exactly what he wants and keeps pulling off. I haven't come up with a prediction for next week yet, but I don't believe Benjamin Linus. That's fo sho. |

Widmore doesn't - it was an example. That is, Ben was saying people want to find the island because of the effect it has on people, like it did on John. That was my impression, anyway. |

Remember last week, Widmore bought the ledger from the Black Rock back in 1994(?). Apparently no one had read it before he bought it. Also, I was thinking about your previous post re: Desmond smiling a bit in the past after Penny answered the phone in the future while I re-watched the last few minutes and you are 100% right. |

Maybe Walt and Michael aged when they left the island because they didn't follow the correct course.

Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
Desmond thought it was 1996 when Widmore bought the ledger at the auction, and gave Desmond the address of Penny's flat...
The painting of the Black Rock is hung in Widmore's office during one of Desmond's flashbacks during Season 2 I believe. However, I skipped over what you guys have said about last night's episode because I haven't seen it yet. Will watch over the weekend... |

Hurely felt responsible, so he went off to live in one of the polar bear cages. It was an odd episode. |

Sweet. Something to look forward to.

That was because the reason they wrote them out was because Walt was going to grow and they simply couldn't get away from that. The comment from Locke was a nod to everyone who figured this was the reason. It was just a little joke they threw in. Supposedly. |
Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
What about the whole gas thing? I don't really know what to make of it. Why was it going to go off, and how did Ben know about it?
And poor Jack just wants to get laid. he has been playing this leader/doctor role for a long time with no payoff. I hope Juliet will help the doc out. |

Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
Not the best episode, but pretty good. Probably would have been better if I hadn't known Michael was the "man on the ship". His character sucks, so I'm not thrilled to see him back.
Did anyone notice the date on Jin's gravestone? It says "9/22/2004", the day of the crash. Nothing revolutionary - just interesting how thorough the writers are. |
Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
kinda sux that Jin dies, but it makes sense he would die to protect Sun and their child. Any bets on who takes a dirt nap next week?

I wouldn't go so far as to say he's dead - we just know he doesn't make it back as part of the Oceanic 6. So far, nobody has referenced the survivors dying, AFAIK. |
Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
Do you guys think the girl who jumped off the boat actually died? I'm thinking maybe she dove into the water to go into the submarine. Plus I wonder if she's the spy.

I read that it is most likely she was the RG on Naomi's bracelet. So she was torn up over Naomi being dead. |

Jin's and Sun's birthdays. I think it is common practice to put the birthdays of both spouses on a tombstone like that. |

That was my guess. But you know how it is, this show always makes you think twice. |

It does make then younger than I would have thought but not so much so. So I guess Sun being an child of the 80's explains it all. |
Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
Beside some of the occurrences on the ship, I would say a pretty lame/"filler" episode to me. The producers always promise good episode but they always tend to disappoint once in a while.
I read that it is most likely she was the RG on Naomi's bracelet. So she was torn up over Naomi being dead.
Was that in the EW.com article?
They also said that the book she was "reading" upside down was a Jules Vern story (I forgot the name at the moment; Survivors of the Something) was about a group of people ship wrecked on an island. One by one they all go crazy because of the isolation and the fact that they doubt they'll ever be rescued which causes them all to kill themselves. That book seems fitting for the ship. |
Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
If Ben's source is Michael then it makes sense why he would drop the note "Dont trust the Captain" because Ben wouldn't want Witman's word to get to Sayid and Des.
If Sayid ends up as a hitman for Ben does that pretty much mean Witman is the "good guy"? |

Agreed - not nearly as good as the other ones this season. |
Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
I have to agree with onlydarksets...neither Sun or Hurley, or the doctor staff ever refer to Jin as being dead. I'm guessing that it could be part of Jack's (or I guess the O-6) elaborate story that 2 of them died during the plane crash and rescue, leading us to believe the 9.22.04 death date for Jin on the tombstone or memorial marker.
I think Regina's dead. I think being close to the Island messed with her head and she couldn't take it anymore. Although the sub theory is interesting... I'm looking forward to this week, to see how Michael got to Kevin, and where in the heck is Walt... |
Re: LOST (Warning: Possible Spoilers)
It seemed like Sun was packing when she started having labor pains, I wonder where she was headed?

I thought they were going to shut it down for a bit and air the 8th episode (filmed pre-strike) with numbers 9-14 (post-strike) in a few months.
