Re: What if Colt Brennan falls to the middle late rounds?
Damn, i was just taking a wild guess!! Colt is a skin now. I like the pick. Tons of upside and was a 6th rounder. If he doesn't work out, it didn't really cost us. You can afford to take a gamble w/ a late round pick.

Absolutely agree. He will be able to sit on the bench and learn, and I think it could be a GREAT pick if he doesn't play for at least a year. Let him carry the clipboard all season, and maybe part of 09 before you even allow him to touch a ball. The kid has talent. Mechanics need work, but he's very talented. |
Re: What if Colt Brennan falls to the middle late rounds?
I liked woodson better, but wth...

Re: What if Colt Brennan falls to the middle late rounds?
Woodson was the better prospect, but no player in this draft was more intriguing than Colt Brennan.

And I just don't see anyone having a possible bigger upside than Brennan. Great pick...I am putting in a request for his jersey ASAP! :D |

He's our jackass now.

As long as he doesn't get drunk and expose himself to the cheerleaders Im cool with the pick.

Admittedly, I have not seen Brennan play (other than in highlights). So, I really don't have a basis to critique the pick. I have, however, seen interviews with Brennan and read a bit about him. Suffice it to say, I wasn't impressed with the guy. I also have a hard time getting crazy happy with a QB from Hawaii. |

Wait a minute, that's a bad thing??? ;) |
Re: What if Colt Brennan falls to the middle late rounds?
He's worth a flyer...but will never play in the NFL I think. I have been wrong before though. I believe I laughed with the Patriots picked Tom Brady in the 6th round some years ago..."what a waste" I think I said.

Re: What if Colt Brennan falls to the middle late rounds?
His statistical profile is impressive, but there is serious worry about how the guy perceives his own game.
If he sees himself as the complete prospect, as many scouts feel he does, he wont make it through training camp. |
Re: What if Colt Brennan falls to the middle late rounds?
he is a john elway type of player. he can win superbowl in the future

Re: What if Colt Brennan falls to the middle late rounds?
Colt mastered the run-n-shoot in quick fashion. Whose to say he won't be able to do it again with the WCO? This kid is a gamer (very Favre-like). He's a Skin now, so hopefully you anti-Brennan skin fans will now give him a chance to prove himself.

He talked about the past and his problems and i came away liking the guy (it was a few months ago). I don't know that much about him besides following a little college football. Not to say that he thinks that highly of himself, but why do people say he comes accross arrogant/like a douchebag when if anyone listened to our own new DB that we just drafted, JT, talk SOOOO highly of himself. What about Smoot? He's always talked and hasn't really achieved Pro Bowl status...and he's still talking. I think skins fans need to give him a chance to prove himself. |
Re: What if Colt Brennan falls to the middle late rounds?
The Skins walked away with a lot of good developmental talent in the draft this year. Brennan is one of them. I like that Zorn has a touted prospect that he can work with.
Coaches can make players too, who was Antonio Pierce before Gregg Williams brought him along? |
