Wow, I guess you're not a member of the D. Hall fan club are you? He's a little better than you are giving him credit for. He was as close to a shutdown corner in '05 & '06 as there was in the NFC but had a terrible '07, as did the entire Falcon team. He's always been a "me" guy and that won't likely change, but that doesn't impact his skill set between the white lines. If he's wearing the maroon and black next hear, he instantly becomes our best CB, yes better than Springs and Smoot because of his big play ability and the ability to shut down the oppoents top WR on any given Sunday.

True. I'm a Hokie fan but never cared for D. Hall. However, he's a very good corner that played on one the worst teams last year. Despite that, he managed 21 passed defensed and 70 tackles. I wouldn't be pleased if we got him but wouldn't complain for very long if he was signed.

you're right, chris cooley and chris samuels going to the pro bowl means nothing. they are crap, its only gonna increase their value. stupid pro bowls. right>

I don't think a player should EVER publicly call out a coach. If a player has beef with his coach, he should approach him in private and express his problems in a respectful manner.

He's gotten jobbed at least once, probably twice because the pro bowl is a stupid popularity contest, and Cooley isn't nearly as popular among non-Redskins fans as Shockey is among non-Giants fans, or Witten is among non-Cowboy fans.

Sheriff, I almost totally agree with you but we don't know if he did try to approach him in private. I would generally give the coach the benefit of the doubt but remember this is the same coach who quit on his team 13 games into his first season. Maybe Petrino was horrible with the players (as reported) and maybe he deserved to be called out. I hear what you're saying and in general, I think a player shouldn't call out his coach but Petrino was kind of a jack-ass who also quit on his team when the going was tough.

im old school, and totally agree. with that out of the way, i think gtripp has some sort of personal thing against Hall. there is no way Carlos Rogers name should be in the same sentence with Hall. all the pro bowl, popularity bull crap aside. Hall is as close to a #1 corner as there is. to me, Rogers is nothing more then a nickle back. with Hall along side of Shawn Springs, the skins will be a better team. anyone care to argue about that?

As for Jay Glazer, this guy was on the radio AFTER Farve retired saying he had the story the day BEFORE it was broken by ESPN. He may be in fact "well connected" but that and floating "huge trade" with no details is gutless reporting.

could it be Anquan Boldin I read this on profootball talk an awesome site...Now that the Cardinals have locked up receiver Larry Fitzgerald at a more affordable (or, as the case may be, less unaffordable) price over the next four seasons, they might have to deal with another thorny issue at the position.

According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, Anquan Boldin could want more money and/or a trade in the wake of Fitzgerald's $10 million-per-year contract.

Per Schefter, some in the Cardinals organization actually regard Boldin as the better wideout. But Boldin will make far, far less than Fitzgerald over the next three seasons -- he's due to earn base salaries of $2.5 million, $2.75 million, $3 million.

In our view, Fitzgerald and Boldin together is a luxury that the Cardinals don't need, especially with coach Ken Whisenhunt presumably trying to bring a Pittsburgh-style power running vibe to the desert.

Assuming that the Cardinals have a plan (which could be a dangerous assumption because we're talking about, you know, the Cardinals), the huge deal given to Fitzgerald should be regarded as evidence that they've opted to keep Fitzgerald over the long haul, and to get what they can for Boldin.

Throw in the fact that Boldin is represented by Drew Rosenhaus, and the stage is set for Boldin to start making noise about moving on.

PFT's own rumors (the one where they don't source others) is not usually on-base. But they are a great aggregator of rumors from around the Internet world. They are good for that, but what they don't do much of is edit what they distribute to the masses. There is no filter between the information that comes into them and what goes out (as is the case with most media). They just put everything out there.

if i had to bet,i would bet that one of the teams involved will be the dolphins.if anybody is
in the really best place to do it,it's them.i would say though that the chances of the skins getting diangelo hall are 50/50.
