Is CNN broadcasting the Prices Right version of the election?
Do they really need 40,920,232,323 monitors and sound effects?

They should just play plinko for electoral votes.
lol it's so ridiculous, I love to just switch around to see what toys each network has. I miss Tim Russert with his white board.

CNN is playing it pretty safe with their predictions. Is that they don't want a repeat of past wrong conclusions or is it that they just want to keep people watching for longer?

No idea. I'm watching MSNBC but looking at the CNN map. And CNN seems to wait an awfully long time to shade in their states. MSNBC calls everything pretty quickly.

I didn't wanna be premature but yeah, McCain would almost need a miracle to somehow pull this off.

If I'm not mistaken it was mostly the southern, less populated precincts that reported early. Obama was expected to close the gap as they counted votes from the communist sections of the state.

VA looks like it's gonna go to Obama. 26% if Fairfax county reported and most of the red counties stand at almost 100%.

I'm at work right now so I can't watch TV, but it seems like it's pretty much over right? Since Obama won Ohio and doesn't appear to be losing any of the states Kerry carried in 04, is there any scenario in which McCain could still win? Even if Florida, VA, NC, and NV all go red, it seems McCain would still be down. Are they talking about this?

McCain still could win, but I doubt it. Obama more or less has it once California comes in.

I don't know how everyone feels but it's kind an emotional moment for me. Regardless of what you think about Obama it can not be denied that this is a land mark day in American history. We have come a long way!

As a young Black female, I'm proud I can see this day. I'm even more proud that my 89 year old grandmother is alive to see it too.

Born in 1919, I believe she deserves to see this day more than anything.

Such a big day for America.
It's a pretty cool moment in history to be witnessing
I remember sitting through US history classes in high school thinking that it must have been amazing to be able to witness those hugely important moments in American history.
Thinking back to the 2000 election and that mess during my freshman year of college, 9/11, the war in Iraq, and everything else up until this day its amazing to think that I am seeing some of the most important moments in this country's history unfold right before my eyes. Amazing!

There such a huge difference. Likability factor shoots up through the roof when he is himself.

Exactly I was really happy to see the McCain I remember. I was glad he shut up some of those nutjobs in the crowd. God I hate the way the republicans are going, and I really hope it tilts back towards more towards the center and I would vote for them.
