I'm sure the refs would call a penalty on that.

Smoot is fired up tonight. Looks like I shouldn't have sold my tickets after all, it's not even friggin raining.

Damn it Hall!! Btw, did you guys see Rocky shoot through the line like a missile?
I'm sure the refs would call a penalty on that.
The ref tonight is the same guy who made the tuck rule reversal in 2002. Not to imply a pro-Pats bias, but I just don't think he's very good.
Moss probably would have gotten there if he didn't slip. I don't think it was any more an overthrow than the 47 yarder that Cutler hit on last week.
Moss had to go horizontal just to put a finger on it.

Campbell has the arm to go deep but his accuracy is below average to poor.

When is the last time he's connected to WR in stride deep?...Moss in New Orleans, that's way too long ago.

damn we gotta get at Brady. He's not feeling any pressure.

So you refuse to acknowledge the guy that hit him in that play?

I just thought that the one in question was a well thrown ball that Moss has gotten to in the past, and just happened to slip before he dove.

If that mattered it would have been short. The ball was long.

I know he got hit but it didn't affect his throw motion to connect.

Lotus 08-28-2009 08:46 PM

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

Yes, Moss could have gotten that ball. It was not a perfect throw but was not a bad one, either.

hrm...i dunno, i'd bet you can overthrow a ball because you're hit. affects the release point/angle.

Can't give Brady and Moss that much time.

WTF was Landry covering Moss by himself???

I hate the pats , but Brady is a killer

GTripp0012 08-28-2009 08:48 PM

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

Brady's third read on that play. He completely expected the first one to be there as well.

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

Brady to Moss is an unbelievable combo. And our secondary looks like crap!

Gtothearry 08-28-2009 08:48 PM

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

I know it's Moss but our secondary just doesn't look very good at all.

EXTRA TIME?........disturbing

landry has looked piss poor. he needs to come up big as a playmaker. this is his third year, really is his make or break year

Brady and Moss will make most secondary look like crap.
WTF was Landry covering Moss by himself???
Well, it was a zone, and that wasn't Moss' original route. He's the only guy we have there.

Looked like he got caught looking in the backfield in Cover 2.

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

No preassure at all. And Hall did a poor job of jamming moss at the line

roth74va 08-28-2009 08:49 PM

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

Here is a really CRAZY idea............lets double up on Moss.

FRPLG 08-28-2009 08:50 PM

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

I don't Blache understands at all what his secondary is capable of. At least on that TD they covered it scheme wise correctly. Now Landry has to not suck.

GTripp0012 08-28-2009 08:50 PM

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

Why don't we talk about how much the offense sucks?

Hey now its our turn to answer lets see what we can do.

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

Hall and Landry are getting embarassed. It's probably a good thing in the long run.

SFREDSKIN 08-28-2009 08:51 PM

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

Brady and Moss look great, D. Hall is showing why we never should have signed him, stupid personal foul and weak coverage. I know it's one game but I'm not sold on Hall. Should have kept Springs.

Clark84 08-28-2009 08:51 PM

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

yeah, watch the corners. they sit on the flat routes and the Pats run a smash concept to that side.

I really like Devin Thomas on kickoffs. He doesn't have Rock's vision, but few in this business do.

But then you'd have single coverage on the great Joey Galloway. :)

DT looks pretty good
We NEED to respond

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

*sigh* Landry is not a good cover safety, hasn't that been the read on him since day 1?
